£100m, cost of site fir new ground and its construction
£20m wipe out existing debts
£30m Buying majority ownership off T&T etc
£50m back team, cover losses next few years etc

£200m covers it, with not a great deal of leeway
£100m for a new stadium is ambitious. Forest re-doing one stand is looking at £130m apparently.
Dunno what they are building at Forest, but Liverpools massive expansion was £100m

“For those of you interested, the final cost of building the Anfield Road End stand came in at circa £100 million,” Miller said.
Rebuild of the Peter Taylor stand to 10,000. Fulham’s rebuilt stand cost £130m as well. Think we’d be very lucky to get much change from £150m with a completely new stadium.

Mistadobalina wrote: Mon Feb 17, 2025 8:28 pm The council won't have much land to give, it probably wouldn't be in a location we'd want, and even if it was, every local authority is looking to maximize income at the moment. That won't happen.

What they might have done is informally given a green light to a site identified for housing to be used for something else, tied in with housing.

No prospective owner is going to be paying for the ground outright with their cash. They might put some equity into the club to act as a cash injection to get the ball rolling with the expectation they get a return later. And no way is the club worth 30m.

Interesting times. Again, more interested in what their long term plans would be for the club, as opposed to whether we can spend an extra million or two for a few seasons. We need to have a plan to grow the club so that we are earning enough outright to compete at this level and feasibly be ok at championship level. Whether that's a new ground or whizzy new way of recruiting remains to be seen.
Any location other than Brisbane road isn't what we want.
However Hearn fooked that up.
LBWF have identified 3 sites & I'll personally be happy with any of them.

It’s going to be American money pretty much guaranteed.

Let’s hope it’s more Wrexham/Birmingham than Terry Smith

Anyone else a bit upset with the timing of this?

Last thing the squad and coaches need is a distraction

I think Waltham forest will end up giving us a piece of land to keep us in the borough. Hopefully it will be a similar deal to the one we had on Brisbane rd, which was peppercorn rent for 999years
Dream on.

Really doubt it'll bother them and when is the perfect time anyway? Get to this stage in the close season and they aren't going to have enough time to set new budgets, so recruitment would be in flux.

Kinell, forgot about him. 3 captains, one each for defense (deeFENCE), midfield and forwards. Didn't he try playing for them as well?

Yeah I get that but as a fan it felt nice recently just to enjoy success on the pitch rather than now worry about who will be taking over. Realise this is a trauma response resurfacing but still

It’s all ball park figures, all I was doing was establishing whoever is coming in will need deep pockets if, as Nige says, incoming investment is tied into new site & its construction.
We’re looking for billionaire status + who don’t mind throwing a few hundred mill at it, at least.

Thought playing American Football in 80s would make him a good manager. Put out pre-match meals of pizza and Maryland cookies, made players recite The Lord’s Prayer before every team talk

Then sold the club to a family of Scouse money launderers who bankrupted the club and put them out of existence.

How has nobody spotted that FTC steps down as board admin and 24 hours later Orient has a takeover bid on the cards. Now we know where all those donations really went…

It's a couple of local lads (father and son) that are sporting promoters. They have Saudi backing and were here for the city game

Some rich foreign bloke looking to make us into a tv show? Love it. What could possibly go wrong?
