I don't see how europe can be alarmed by the proposal from Trump when they did nothing to help Ukraine defend themselves. They would have known this was the only outcome.

European nations have sent more weapons to Ukraine than the US. But what they haven't done is to invest in their own armed forced to be a credible deterrent should they be abandoned by the US (possibly except for Poland).

If he achieves peace in Ukraine after playing a key role in the Gaza ceasefire then he must be a heavy favourite for the Nobel Peace Prize surely?

I reckon so. And if he succeeds in dismantling NATO then even the lefties will need to give him credit.
