Stockport deserved to win that. They managed the game incredibly well. Sometimes the other team just do a number on you. One of the best sides I’ve seen all season in terms of discipline and defensive tightness.
Ref looked like a work experience kid. Couldn’t keep up with the game and within 15 mins both sides were taking the p*ss out of him as he clearly had no authority over the game.
Challinor learnt lesson from our 4-1 win. Can't grumble

Missed Ollie & Agyei, today. Quality counts.

Think we missed Beckles & Clare as Ollie & Agyei wouldn’t have fared much better with the midfield going missing, esp first half. Improved with Galbraith moved in second half & Prats off.

Coopers a shocking footballer isn’t he?
Seems to lack the basis skills you would expect of a professional footballer.
Completely disagree with you because the defence have been so good he’s had very little time on the field give the guy a chance he’ll come good.

I can forgive the lack of technical ability when he's physically dominating and solid. But he was bullied today as well. He's a decent back up but will struggle against forwards with the quality Stockport have.

Sometimes even professional players have a poor day.
The unfortunate reality is that Happe is still coming back from injury, Beccles will be out for the rest of the season and RW did not want to risk Simpson when he's probably not even 90% fit. We don't have a young player ready to step in and therefore will have to try to recruit a CB.
I thought of Ed Turns but will leave it to RW/ML.
To be anywhere near the play-offs is beyond anything I thought possible earlier in the season.
Incredibly tight with 7+ teams fighting for one place but there are still a huge number of points to play for with lots of twists and turns.
We have to keep supporting the players and also enjoy next Saturday!
I probably won't see us playing Man City again in my life time.
I hope we make a couple of decent signings between now and 11pm Monday.
A word on Sonny Perkins.
I'm old enough to remember a young Steve Castle, newly signed Terry Howard and they got stronger and learnt the pro game and became top players. I remember how Rob Taylor who developed from a not very mobile forward in to a very good striker.
And who can forget Mark Cooper who went from zero to hero in the space of one game!-
If Sonny keeps getting stronger he will become a very good player- in France they consider players under 21 as being young - players like Rooney and his freakish strength at such a young age are once in a generation.
Anyway, enough from me - enjoy next week and the rest of the season.
Up the Os!

Oh well , you can't win them all . We were never going to go for the rest of the season. without losing again in the league .I thought we were pretty poor in the first half and deserved to be losing at HT. . Second half I thought we were much better and probably deserved a draw at the end but we just couldn't find a way through . I also thought we really missed our injured players today as well . I expect us to lose against City next Saturday so it's how we bounce back against Mansfield Tuesday week .
