Correct, though at that time getting out of tinpot NL was worth far more for the future of the club than any transfer fee. Credit to both of them for knuckling down and finishing the job with us, also testament to the bond they had with JE

He is much better than Swansea. If I was Ethan I would hold out, who knows he could be playing in the championship with Orient if all goes to plan. ;)

Cambridge right back, out of contract at the end of the season(best right back in the league) replacement.

He wasn't so good the following week - I watched him let the winger get past him and the opposition scored

Wasn't so good against us defensively.

Swansea captain Matt Grimes hands in transfer request, plays a similar position and style to Ethan, they'll get good money for him too, so price won't be a problem

Grimes is done, Swansea will now offer whatever for Ethan, literally comes down to now if he wants to go or not

Swansea fans want an experienced Chsmpionship ready player, but then you don’t always get what you want.
Blimey, appreciate this forum after wading knee deep in adverts on the Swans Lord Bony forum!

Galbraith was a picture as he walked in front of us after being substituted. Clenched fist, grinning, now ok we were 6-2 up but he didn’t look a guy on his way out in a day or two.
I think he’s staying out to help us get in the Championship.

23 year old in London or Swansea. You’re only young once!!!

I don’t get the love in for Ethan. He is a good player in league one. I am disappointed when he is not on the team sheet. I don’t want him to go and we are probably not seeing the best of him at full back. But he is not a Championship midfielder and I would imagine that like el miz , he would quickly end up as a squad member and nothing more.

I suggest Swansea should be looking at Kyprianou. Would keep everyone happy😉

But also , if they wanted him , why wouldn’t they have agreed a swap deal when we took a box to box midfielder from them. It makes no sense

Accouting is an interesting thing....Swap deals are almost a football myth, happen one in a million transfers, more of a media thing, ie swap player x for x

I'm not commenting on whether Swansea are in for Ethan or not, I've no idea (although the timing makes it seem unlikely).

I'm wowing at your assessment of Ethan as a footballer.

True, but he would likely treble his salary. Huge incentive for any lower league player with such a short career.

Just my opinion. He is wonderful for us. Don’t think he is top championship level. Time will tell

I'm not saying he's top Championship now either. He's not even had a full season in his proper position at L1 level yet.

Bit weird saying you don't get the love in for Ethan in one sentence, but then that you think he is wonderful for us.

Swansea City are now confirmed within certain outlets as making a large bid for Melker Widell the Aalborg Boldspilklub af 1885 midfielder (AaB) midfielder. Speculation talks about three and a half million euros including add ons.

They also wanted an experienced Championship ready GK and signed Vigs, who they now love.

Hope Ethan stays!

He can't get into our team in league 1 in his strongest position. Not sure why a championship team would buy him now and not wait another year to see how he develops.
