I agree . if I was George at the end of the season I would call it a day and retire .
And do what?
He’s got a young family, big mortgage, hefty car finance repayments on the Merc etc. You can’t blame him for taking a wage from football for as long as he can.

Nearly 9 years younger than Prats, but while Prats is still performing at L1 level poor old George is struggling to make an impression two leagues lower.
At 31 he should still be in his prime. It’s a shame as he has so much skill.

I understand but unfortunately his fitness has gone. I still maintain catching covid badly might have something to do with his fitness problems.

He started well at Southend too, the challenge is whether he's still doing that in 4-6 weeks time

He is done, his fitness was never great but he can barely last 60 a game
