Exactly this. He clearly hesitated and got punished for it. Viggy or Sol would have been out like a rocket to kick the ball away or dive on it. The second goal is completely on him.
Keepers are going to give away penalties like this during a season. Don't care who they are, if faced with a one on one it's a fair chance the keeper will take the man. Oh, and Sol wasn't all that. I certainly wouldn't hold him us a positive example.
My comment was that he wouldn’t have needed to give away the pen if he’d been quicker off his line. If he hadn’t dithered he would have claimed the ball. Showed his lack of experience and confidence. Indecision is the worst character trait in a keeper.
We are a top six side with a good keeper , mid table with Hemmings. He could easily have collected that ball had he been quicker off the mark.

I'll be very surprised if Keeley is in goal when Hemming is the more experienced of the two.

Having watched the goals, doubt even a top goalie would have done much different as whilst their bloke takes a heavy touch, it wasn't enough for the ball to get away from him.
The only reason it didn’t get away from him was because Hemming was slow to get out to it. Someone with better instincts would have gotten there ahead of their player

I just happened to copy your post LPE but you are not alone in blaming the keeper for the penalty. The ball travels the whole length of the pitch in 7-8 seconds and several people are more culpable along the way before Hemmings is asked to perform heroics. He dug is own pit a few weeks back and is trying to climb out of it - whilst boarders just keep chucking stones at him. Almost all critics were not there to see it but "watched the goals".

I was there and behind the goal at that end. He clearly started to go , hesitated, then went again. I agree that others should have stopped the attack beforehand. But it doesn’t hide the fact that a better keeper would have acted differently

He could have done better, but it is not the same as a mistake.
