The good news is he showed pace and strength in the clips, whether he still has the former after an ACL injury remains to be seen

Great signing then.
We got rid of Ruel because he scored goals, rarely had fitness issues, high work rate and put defenders under pressure, problem was he wanted more money !! So see what this new guy does but from all reports, more like a case of ''hope springs eternal''
We didnt "get rid" of Ruel though. We offered him an improved contract on terms we thought were suitable and he turned it down and signed elsewhere for what he believes is a better deal. It happens.
I liked him alot and would have liked him to stay but to keep saying we got rid of him implying we didnt want to keep him is just wrong. Kelman is clearly the Ruel replacement not Diallang and personally i think Kelman can go on to match if not better what Ruel achieved here.
The first part of my comment was meant to be just ironical black humour !!
I did add ''problem was he wanted more money ''

Just to clarify, I've already said I don't know the lad but am happy to go with RWs judgement.......

But f**k me, if that's the best highlights reel they can come up with, we may have a problem. Literally no idea how a player with that little finesse fits into our way of playing. I'm truly baffled by this one.

Yeah, I'll give him that.

Can't see him linking up with the intricate passing of Galbraith, O'Neill etc. I could see him being dumped up top as cover for Agyei.

From the clips I've seen he twists and turns a lot and that must put a lot of strain on those ACL injuries . He does sound a positive sort of guy so lets hope it works out for him ,he looks exciting .

Yep, once again let’s give the guy a chance, maybe 5-10 games before any of us can make an informed opinion.
I honestly don’t see Richie entertaining a useless ‘sick note’ so I’m willing to trust his judgement.

Dare I suggest it? Could this bloke get a tune out of Piggot?

Richie’s worked with him and he ain’t going to re-employ someone who ain’t good enough or someone who is lazy.

Imo he’s a back up any way and we don’t have many two footed players

I watched that video and like you. I cant really see any standout moments that can fit the description of ''highlights''

In the video he looks a bit slow but he’s good at what most of our forwards do , miss the goal . Good luck to him, hope he had a thorough medical

Although I trust Richie’s judgement I’m not too hopeful with this signing. Hopefully Richie knows how to get the best out of him and proves to be a better player than he was at Charlton . Going by what Charlton supporters have been saying, that shouldn’t be too difficult

To be fair, the whole erraticness of those clips is reminiscent of Ruel. I can see how hes been brought in to replace him. (Although not as much of evidence if the clinical instinctive finishing).

Problem with that is it means Kelman is here as our no 2 striker….

I'm seeing it more like covering Graham / O'Neill as a wide player. Kelman is no Agyei replacement that's for sure, that role is still yet to be filled (I hope)

Can't see how we paid a fee for him as he was released by Charlton a month back. Journalists, wouldn't trust them ............

So let me get this straight, we have signed a long term injury player to cover for a long term injury player (Graham)and could possibly cover for Theo who is a long term injury player but won’t cover Happe who is also a long term injury player ?

Unless he’s had another ACL, the ACL injury was effin’ 5 years ago! Ffs!

Diallang Jaiyesimi out for the season with ACL injury

CLUB

Norwich City can confirm that Diallang Jaiyesimi will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) whilst on loan at Yeovil Town.

Jaiyesimi, 20, joined the Sky Bet League Two side in the summer and impressed during the early stages of the season at Huish Park, scoring twice in 11 appearances.

However, the winger was stretchered off the field after 23 minutes of the Glovers' game with Milton Keynes Dons on September 25.

Jaiyesimi is set to have surgery on Tuesday with a view to getting him fit for the beginning of next season.

Everyone at Norwich City Football Club wishes Diallang all the very best throughout his recovery.

So we now have three wingers on the books who all have fairly recent histories of knee ligament problems. So with good luck we might manage to get a season of games out of all the three of them combined !

Pretty much. I think if Douglas Barder and Stephen Hawkins were available, they would offer them a contract.

Why have we signed a player with a history of bad injuries and apparently couldn't get into the Wimbledon team . ? Our recruitment so far is a concern .

If money is that tight, wonder why we have players on the books on high wages, ( Moncur and Piggot to mention a couple of names ) who dont even get in the side on a regular basis ? Surely there must be young fit players of potential in the division two and National league who might be better options than signing injury prone players as Os do.
