180 minutes from winning a first tournament in nearly 60 years, pretty exciting stuff when you look at it Historically. I men Germany have won loads of tournaments as have Italy France & Spain.

It has been one of the worst European Championships for years, some really awful matches.

1 of the best for Years .
Usually get 1 great group game 1 decent QF 1 OK Semi Final & Hit & Miss on Final day. We've had lots of great Group games already .
No wonder its been one of the best tournaments in ages

Some people are easily pleased and don’t mind watching generally mind bending boring negative football and are happy with getting as far as the semi finals but I will never be.

How did you know if it was boring if you didn't watch it?

I assume from your post you won't watch the semi-final then. Though no doubt you'll come on here to moan about it; which strikes me as somewhat perverse behaviour, as well as a total waste of your time that you could be using for the entertainment you appear to be craving.

How many of those aforementioned England managers were held in public affection? Venables, certainly, and, to a certain extent, Bobby Robson.

The tactics used on Saturday were genius and finally after all these years England played the perfect game, they are so dull and defensive, it made the Swiss all sleepy, they switch off just long enough for us to sneak an equalizer, by the time penalties comes around, they can barley kick the ball. Gareth is a tactical genius.

I know it was boring, negative football because everyone that I know told me, knowing that I refuse to watch the match .

No I certainly won’t be watching the semi final even though I desperately want England to win but can’t watch anymore of the boring negative football until England appoint a new Manager.
I will wait for feedback before making any comments after the game, who knows we might play positive entertaining football and win .

Fair enough fella. There Was an improvement- particularly in the first half, But, entertaining it wasn't really. It wasn't a bad game though..

I wanted to watch as historically the England team has rarely done anything (1966 aside) so I'm hoping for some level of success, though it's disappointing on one level that we just "grind out" results but I'm not of the opinion (like some) that our players are world-beaters.
We're all different of course and entitled to all our opinions..

Combination of tired players and the Dutch changing shape and stifling the midfield. We haven’t got a midfielder who can unlock that really.

Very happy for Ollie Watkins who, if I’m right, made his first contribution in the tournament tonight and what a goal !!!
England dominated the first half and played well , I thought the Dutch were negative and were maybe holding on for penalties.
Southgate got the substitutes just right tonight and we go into the final as underdogs with nothing to lose.

Tonight is the best I've seen us play this tournament, peaking at the right time. I dont think his usual gameplan will keep the Spanish out though.
