Re: Election Poll
I doubt if there will be a change from the sitting Conservative MP here in the Hamlet of Hornchurch, twinned with Upminster as a constituency or in Romford. London Borough of Havering has been staunchly Tory for the 50 odd years I've lived in it.

Re: Election Poll
If she loses her commons seat, she could always apply for a job on tv as an extra in Coronation street !

Re: Election Poll
Yep, correct. I've voted for the last 50 years and now my conclusion is NONE are worth me walking down to the Polling station to vote for them.FrankOFile wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2024 6:44 amSo no right to moan about anything political in the future then.

Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2024 9:42 amThe country has been through a lot in the last few years, the country voted narrowly to leave the EU and the doom and gloom merchants predictions did not come to pass. Then the Covid epidemic, the migrant crisis affecting the whole of the EU and the UK then to cap it all, the Russian invasion of Ukraine which affected food, fuel and energy prices in most of the world. Would any government have handled all those factors any better than the Tories...very much doubt it !! I have a friend in Germany who as a foreign student used to live and study in the UK and she complains about much the same things happening in Germany as we do in the UK. She works in a big financial company and wants to come back to the UK, much preferred it here. Her husband is a Nuclear physicist who also studied in the UK.
Funniest post of the day.
