Wellens often calls out the slow build up play but we still do that every week, Wellens at times is strange, I think he wants to challenge players to achieve more, Richie himself is very ambitious and still has that players mindset so I think he expects that of his players, ie you're good why not get better

I too find it strange about the slow build up play. Is he or is he not the coach. He’s had over two seasons to get the team to move the ball more quickly and yet in a lot of interviews he often has a go at the players for not doing so. Is he covering his own backside or are the players just not listening?

Old players aren’t malleable, they will revert to old habits. He wants the ball forward through the lines quickly but they f*** about passing it around the back
