By “more closely resembles”, does that mean it’s actually the same shirt? Or still made of different material etc?

I had a look in the spurs shop the other week and was genuinely baffled by the tiers of pricing on cheap feeling kit

Inclusive to who? I am completely baffled by how this is being seen as a political gesture.
I suppose Jesse Owens raising a fist isn’t political to you either.
Jesse Owens didn't raise a fist did he? Not that a black athlete winning a gold medal in Nazi Germany is really comparable to a corporate multinational doing a bland tweek of a national flag on a football shirt.
Whoever it was, the point is the same

Nike was testing the water and our flag would eventually have become a brand including rainbows and whatever other colour combination we are celebrating this week.
I've already done this joke.

Ok, I'm sorry, they haven't been exactly £124.99 previously. :D

These England match shirts - kids and adults - have been up at over £100 for the last couple of tournaments. Not saying it's right, just that it's been not right for a while.

Fortunately, alternative retailers are available if you know where to look.

My guess is that the 'match shirts' are more or less replicas of those the players wear, which will be the latest, most expensive, sweat-wicking, aero-dynamic tech.

The 'stadium shirts' will be made from cheaper materials, same as kits from the olden days.

So the t0sspots at the FA won't light up the Wembley Arch in the blue and white of a national ally following a barbaric terrorist atrocity but they are happy to approve the "disruption of history" by d!cking around with the colours of the English national flag.

Next it'll be the three lions badge to get the "disrupted history" treatment... The kit launch's press release in 2028 could read as:

"Our inclusive designers at Nike have replaced each lion with a kooky modern take for England's upcoming World Cup campaign. It's goodbye to the king of the jungle and hello to a tropey turquoise octopus to appease the modern-day anti-semitic majority, plus a KGB-aligned black bear as a cheeky nod to 1966's legendary Russian lineseman. Completing the diverse threesome on England's new badge is a brown slug - to signify the spineless t0sspots at the FA who approve this crud in the first place".

CEB - as the board's resident artist would you mind mocking up that new badge in your lunch hour? Cheers.

I didn't know what a stadium kit was, so Googled it. Apparently it helps you stay cool. Would have thought the players would have preferred that version

Just wondering how the Scott’s Welsh or Irish fans would feel if a sports company buggered about with emblems on there shirts. Like someone has already said if it was the French they would riot.

Can't believe we're looking back at 2012 as a golden age of being keeping things in perspective, but I really don't remember being people losing their minds over this effort.

Why do we let the septics have control of our kit and design anyway? Oh, it must be the money. FA is about right for our soccer leaders in terms of their understanding of what the hoolies want emblazoned on their replicas when slinging chairs around pre match.
