Well , he is being given a platform and his views are somewhat extreme and controversial, in the current public domain and far different from what Lineker of Neville would say but equally the latter two appeal to a different ‘wokey’ audience. To be honest , what Barton is spouting is not much different than what I hear down my local cafe or pub on the average day or even on a match day at the ground and surrounding boozers. We must understand that people have their own opinions and they can be expressed within the confines of the law.
You must keep very unsavoury company if what Barton is spouting is something you hear on a daily basis.
My company are not unsavoury but I live in London and the real world. I do not create a scene or ‘police ‘ misogynistic remarks and banter. I would intervene should I saw a lady in distress and on the receiving end of unsavoury remarks but have to evaluate each situation on its merits. Incidenly I pulled up a bloke I vaguely know for being rude in a sexual way to a young barmaid , in the pub on Christmas Day. He was in drink but my bollocking filtered through to his head.

Anyway, how are you getting on in the monastery these days?
And then you did a back flip?

Wrap up in more cotton wool today , really cold .outside, try not to walk on any snowflakes.
Tuesday challenge: how many more tired cliches can you fit in your replies?
Well Mister, you have responded twice with zero substance even resorting to name calling in a puerile fashion. Your juvenile behaviour says more about you than me.
In fact, where in either of those posts did I call you a name? I await the acknowledgement of your error and related apology.

Are you saying you did not swear using slang word beginning with ‘p’ for a male appendage?

I did. But you didn't refer to using a rude word, you said I'd resorted to calling you names. Now answer the question and tell me where that happened or just be honest and acknowledge you were wrong.

It's a real sign of immaturity when someone can't own up to making a mistake. Despite what you claim, actually shows you're not in any way interested in a meaningful discussion about anything.

I don’t understand this pun. He didn’t mention “sawing” or “saving” a woman, as far as I can see?

You’d be better off saying “and then everyone in the pub clapped”

There is banter and unacceptable banter. Most people where I socialise know the ‘unspoken rules’. Anyone steps out of line is soon advised accordingly.

All unacceptable of course and sadly in the all occur in real world but you cannot go running to teacher every time. Thankfully , the status quo is generally maintained. Now , swearing and being unkind on a board like this is another matter. With reference to the first two above I would imagine they would be red cards here. I feel the third should be at least a yellow.

You mean your aliases are all Tee Total as well ?

Re: Joey Barton

Genuinely baffled by the go-to accusation of “aliases”. It seems like it’s a hangover from when there actually was a trend for accounts to be set up for multiple users for the LOLs, and where some users really did utilise multiple accounts in order to harass people with a step removed from their known identity.

Neither of those things seem to currently exist, and even the accusations of “having an alias” usually seems to just be a scattershot accusation after someone says something, rather than a genuine response to suspicious patterns of behaviour.

I mean, obviously Joe is Tuffers (he hasn’t even denied it, he’s just said “I am Joe, nobody else” which is strictly speaking, 100% true) but he hasn’t used aliases in the sense of having multiple accounts in order to shape the way conversations with him go
