Is he ?

Scored 3 goals & offers very little up front.
At least Drinan when fit runs a defence around
Instead of letting them stand around like Pigott does

Theo with a pathetic pull-back in acres of space, underlining how poor the final ball has been.

HT.
A pathetic ball to 1 man in the box with 3 defenders,
fairly Harsh on Theo
He pea-rolled it to no-one, under no pressure.

Very little goal threat at all
Apart from the odd cross from Theo
Forde getting little service, it must improve in the 2nd half

essexfootball wrote: Tue Nov 28, 2023 8:51 pm Looks far better in general but the final third is very poor, Forde hasn't had a sniff so you could have Benzema up there and make no difference, I still think Smyth was the key, his quality would just creates goals and chances out of nothing in these tight games
Yes but he was just on loan for 2 seasons

The defender he beat 5 yards from the bye line & a ball running out of play isn't pressure.

OK Lionel

Ok, it was a fine effort then.

Ruel needs to be dropped and Moncor to start earning his money. I know he scores the odd goal which we are lacking but he is a terrible footballer. I don’t get RW love in with him.

I'm not sure it's a Love in.
Just the best of a bad lot in terms of goals

I’m slowly losing faith with this team . We have a non existent forward line so I’d be surprised if we can get back on level terms

reading both forums, it seems we are 1-0 ahead at HT in a match between two not very good teams who are playing at the lowest levels of their ability

some crumb of comfort in having both sets of supporters in agreement, maybe? Can't help feeling that a draw would be fair at HT though

We haven't completed a pass successfully in the first 5 mins of this half.

19 L1 games in and people are still mentioning Smyth 🤦🏻‍♂️
He’s a QPR player get over it.

I wish we had Johnson, Kitchen, Cunningham, Cox, Comfort, in the team, but we don’t, wow what a front 5 they would be!!

Sadly we have no width in the team and a Sunday morning football No.9 playing as our goalscoring No.9

Forde is so frustrating. Obvious ability, but his first touch is awful!

See, I said the 5hit defending would bring out the Drinan slaggers. Always the same here

Because under the radar the problems are the same as last season, lack of final third, lack of end product, lack of goals..

I'm really losing patience with him. High work rate isn't hiding the poor deliveries and, in previous games, defensive frailties.

The issue is not our defence. We can’t score.
