Isn't he the first manager under Roman not to be sacked?

First 'permanent' manager, although Guus Hiddink (twice) and Rafa Benitez were interim managers who lasted until the end of their contracts.

Charlton Athletic have been unable to reach an agreement with manager Lee Bowyer regarding the extension of his contract.

"The club hasn’t started to look for any other manager in the meantime and does not intend to appoint a permanent manager, since the club is going to be sold. A caretaker manager will be announced in due course and in the meantime the other staff members will continue to prepare the upcoming season for which a lot of good work has been performed already".

What have you done, Mr. Bonne?

24 hours later, Bowyer has agreed a contract extension with the club.

Never a dull moment at Charlton, Mr Bonne.

Interesting move by Birmingham which is very similar to what Leyton Orient have done.

Pep Clotet named Birmingham City caretaker head coach.

Works for me but won’t happen. I don’t think Interim means a change before the season starts. We go with the current group until they prove they can cut it or until we are near the relegation zone and panic sets in.

Awful record as a club manager and the last thing we need at the moment is a guy like him.

The same Roy Keane that took a team at the bottom of the championship to the Premier League?

He took over at Sunderland when the team had only played FOUR games, they were 2nd from bottom at the time, that was his only major success as a manager.
Quote Wikipedia ''Keane's harsh management style was not appreciated by the Sunderland players, who were reported to have celebrated when they heard he had resigned''

No doubt the same players who celebrated when they got promoted to the Prem and celebrated pay increases linked to promotion and celebrated bigger bonus payments.
