If an aggressive Yorkie runs towards me yapping, I doesnt worry me at all as I know who will come off worst in that fight. Being confronted by a snarling 10 stone devil dog is truly frightening. I read that 10 people were killed by dogs in the UK last year as well as thousands injured. Remember the fuss a few years back when a fox supposedly nipped a kid's foot or something, yet no one seems to care about dogs actually killing people. There will always be tens of thousands of irresponsible dog owners in this country, so any dog that is over 6 inches tall should be euthanized and we can all feel safe and we wouldn't have this nonsense about determining what actual breed it is.
Plus it's not a dogs fault that you're scared of it. When walking our dopey as f**k dog a while back an excited child wanted to stroke him but we said no - we'd never take any risks despite knowing our dogs temperament. Mother of child is heard to say "stay away, it'll rip your face off". Faced with that level of stupid it's hardly surprising that some kids grow up fearing dogs.
Any dog that can injure and kill should be destroyed.
You can injure and kill too so I'm afraid you have to be euthanised. Them's the rules now.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 3:12 pmRelevance?BoniO wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 3:04 pmWell our Government is responsible for 10's of thousands of deaths so can we (please) euthanise them firstCeltient wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 2:51 pm If people feel so strongly that they must have a dog, then there should be a height and weight restriction for the animal. Would a posthumous award be OK?

I agree with what you say about people who have a blanket dislike of dogs. I find people who lack compassion about dogs have a disturbing attitude about people. I try not to kill any creature however small , especially insects. Most evil murderers who have treated their victims appallingly have a history of I’ll treating sadistically, animals in their progression to committing their first killing.
Anyone with a trace of compassion has to own a dog to understand the bond they naturally have with humans. They are like a child. Dogs give unconditional love.
You're letting your rabid socialistic idea's run wild again, in your book, anyone who disagrees with you should be shamed and ostracised
I think you're barking up the wrong tree.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 4:53 pm I hate dogs, they're rubbish, aggressive animals that crap everywhere. I dont understand the worship they get in this country.
Any actual chance the govt will 'ban' (how will that work exactly?) this mental Bully XL breed? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-b ... m-66775340 I mean, the name says it all. What next? 'Face Ripper 3000' breed?
Another thing bothering me, is people treating their mutts like kids. Ice cream, clothes and cakes for dogs etc. The below is not a joke

Is this you again Max? Either way, the Chinese eat more dogs than Korea and have the abhorrent Yulin dog meat festival every year. Must try harder pal (pun intended)FrankOFile wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 11:01 pmI think you will find it is the Koreans who fancy canine quiches.
Are they all the same to you?
Maybe ‘bun’ intended would be more appropriate.BoniO wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 11:12 pmIs this you again Max? Although presumably don't give unconditional love to the people they maim and killLoin Cloth Lenny wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 3:22 amProposition Joe wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 7:40 pm Anyone who has a blanket dislike of dogs should be on a Government watchlist but do agree with some of the comments, particularly regarding dog mess being left (absolutely infuriating) and off lead dogs not being trained. The number of times one charges over and winds one of ours up and the owner says "oh they're fine, he/she/they are friendly", while they either don't bother trying to call them back or the dog has no recall is ridiculous. All worse since lockdown.
Don't see why cats get away scott free on the sh!t front though. Most dog owners pick up as they should whereas the moggies are allowed to wander about and crap everywhere and noone says a word. Ridiculous.

Most badly behaved dogs and attacks by the same are purely the result of bad, irresponsible owners and those in charge of them at the time. There are rare exceptions when a dog is ‘mad’ as a result of injury , illness or disease. Having been on the receiving end of a dog attack by a Rottweiler on the loose in a car storage yard, I put the blame firmly on the owner and was compensated after a lengthy legal battle, did not want the dog put down and still adore them. However, dogs are dogs, not substitutes for children and responsibile owners acknowledge that.Celtient wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 10:35 amAlthough presumably don't give unconditional love to the people they maim and killLoin Cloth Lenny wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 3:22 amProposition Joe wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 7:40 pm Anyone who has a blanket dislike of dogs should be on a Government watchlist but do agree with some of the comments, particularly regarding dog mess being left (absolutely infuriating) and off lead dogs not being trained.
