I've had second thoughts. In my 5 year career as a paperboy, and 20 years as a DWP visiting officer, I've been growled at, barked at, lunged at ( thankfully only bitten 4 times) by practically every breed of dog that I can think of. Apart from a cocker spaniel. They will get a height exemption

I read that 10 people were killed by dogs in the UK last year as well as thousands injured. Remember the fuss a few years back when a fox supposedly nipped a kid's foot or something, yet no one seems to care about dogs actually killing people. There will always be tens of thousands of irresponsible dog owners in this country, so any dog that is over 6 inches tall should be euthanized and we can all feel safe and we wouldn't have this nonsense about determining what actual breed it is.
Well our Government is responsible for 10's of thousands of deaths so can we (please) euthanise them first ;)

Plus it's not a dogs fault that you're scared of it. When walking our dopey as f**k dog a while back an excited child wanted to stroke him but we said no - we'd never take any risks despite knowing our dogs temperament. Mother of child is heard to say "stay away, it'll rip your face off". Faced with that level of stupid it's hardly surprising that some kids grow up fearing dogs.
Relevance?

Any dog that can injure and kill should be destroyed.
And the cat who viciously attacked me just because I thought about booting it's face in? What should happen to it?

You can injure and kill too so I'm afraid you have to be euthanised. Them's the rules now.

Just round all the dogs up, put them through a mincer, and mix them into burgers. Enough of this nit-picking on sizes and mucking about.

I agree with what you say about people who have a blanket dislike of dogs. I find people who lack compassion about dogs have a disturbing attitude about people. I try not to kill any creature however small , especially insects. Most evil murderers who have treated their victims appallingly have a history of I’ll treating sadistically, animals in their progression to committing their first killing.

Anyone with a trace of compassion has to own a dog to understand the bond they naturally have with humans. They are like a child. Dogs give unconditional love.

You're letting your rabid socialistic idea's run wild again, in your book, anyone who disagrees with you should be shamed and ostracised

Any actual chance the govt will 'ban' (how will that work exactly?) this mental Bully XL breed? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-b ... m-66775340 I mean, the name says it all. What next? 'Face Ripper 3000' breed?

Another thing bothering me, is people treating their mutts like kids. Ice cream, clothes and cakes for dogs etc. The below is not a joke

Maybe ‘bun’ intended would be more appropriate. 😏

Don't see why cats get away scott free on the sh!t front though. Most dog owners pick up as they should whereas the moggies are allowed to wander about and crap everywhere and noone says a word. Ridiculous.

Most badly behaved dogs and attacks by the same are purely the result of bad, irresponsible owners and those in charge of them at the time. There are rare exceptions when a dog is ‘mad’ as a result of injury , illness or disease. Having been on the receiving end of a dog attack by a Rottweiler on the loose in a car storage yard, I put the blame firmly on the owner and was compensated after a lengthy legal battle, did not want the dog put down and still adore them. However, dogs are dogs, not substitutes for children and responsibile owners acknowledge that.

Who rioted when pitbulls were banned? Absolutely laughable to suggest this particular Govt, Hell bent on reducing civil liberties across the board, won't crack down on stuff because they're scared of a reaction. Right whingers genuinely inhabit an alternative universe.
