I’m in favour of me being subject to the same due process as everyone else, yes.
Dearie me, is this the level now?
Is this the level ?
Youve managed to drag it this far ,
thought I'd give it another little nudge for you.

Nothing odd about it. You answered a question that youd happily be Incarcirated for something you didnt do & then asked if this was the level we reached ? Why you got arsie is not my problem .

I didn’t say I’d be happy about it. I said that I believe due process should apply to me too, and I should be prepared to accept that principle if I advocate for it.
It’s the system we have. Do you not agree with it?

What is fundamentally flawed about the idea of people being held in prison while
*suspected/charged of a crime
*during an appeal process
*after conviction beyond reasonable doubt but with less than Caca’s “100% proven” bar met
?

I think what I'd be worried about is government abusing the power.
I guess the problem is not all people found 'guilty' have the same level of evidence proving it. I think the legal system would have to come up with some criteria to be met, in order to use the death penalty.

Do you think?

So if they had a level such as:
There has to be forensic evidence
There has to be video evidence
There has to be a witness
You'd still have a problem with it?

I deduce that because a miscarriage of justice is not self evidently a reason to abandon prison, is it?

Me, stuck in a Post Office queue: "well, guess I'll never get this time back, may as well end it all".

First used in 1938
First known use was in 1938
Birmingham 6 Maguire especially Guiseppie Conlon Judith Ward etc all had that criteria passed , & All was Wrong
Did they? Prove it. Are you sure there was video evidence in 1974?

Have to say I'm slightly surprised that we've gone from a majority seeming to agree that "the death penalty is bad" to tuffers arguing that there should be no penal system whatsoever.
