I'm not sure about Bonne. He seems to be struggling for the last 18 months
His wages would be a problem too I suspect

He might have to accept a drop in wages to get his career back on track. Like I said elsewhere there is no guarantee he'll do well for us so it's Richie's judgment call. IMO, he should be able to do well because he's played at a higher level and has experience of lower league football . Edit, I just thought we seem to have a good relationship with QPR because we already have two of their players .That might work in our favour for McCauley.

Started by playing league 2 football at Colchester so he'll know what to expect from this league . Saying that though he's still a gamble . I'm saying he should do well but we would have to see .

I'm not sure either. Plus for me, he misses too many clear cut chances.

I'd love him back here. I'm sure we'd be competing with a load of L1 clubs, that'd be the issue.

Yes, here we go again with just a smiley face. Waiting for this weren't you.... I don't rate him as a 'striker'. Misses too many clear cut chances for me. Give me Harry Smith, for this team, and with a changed attitude any day.

if he took all those chances he'd be playing in the Premiership and wouldn't even be on our radar .

Woah.

You'd take Harry Smith over Bonne? You are being serious, right?

He did miss a few. Finishing is absolutely not one of his strong points, which is why he's struggling at Championship level.

Not really considering its a loan that is being mooted.

Hit double figures for Charlton and Ipswich.

Why just a loan? Sign him up as part of our planning for L1.

How's Koroma getting on, out of interest?

Are we really having to explain that forward play doesn't just consist of finishing? Koroma's development was massively down to an awful lot of Bonne's spadework.

For me he's a better version of Drinan. No disrespect to Drinan but he looks way short on form / confidence which is presumably a downside on him being edged out most weeks by others in front of him.

Bonne would be a great loan signing.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we at least try to make it happen.

He scored 10+ in league 1 for both Charlton and Ipswich. He’d be brilliant for us in League 2

Red, point taken but let's not forget he was playing at national league level. Plus the fact, players like teams, can go through an almost magical like streak of form from time to time, and then it disappears. My summing up of Bonne is : for his height he holds the ball up well. He's very good with penalties, and he's quite good running with the ball at his feet. But as a instinctive striker', predator, that only has a split second to put away the chance, he's abysmal. In this regard I found him extremely frustrating. If he signs (which I doubt somehow) and he does the business I'll be the first to hold my hands up.

Did you hold your hands up when he done the business for us week in, week out in 2018/19?

Bonne free to leave QPR. League one clubs interested. Have more chance of getting Macauley Calkin.
