Much better than some unproven youngster from a PL team. IEM has played almost 60 games of first team football. I like this.

But I get your point. He’s massively inexperienced and a massive gamble but he’s not a wet behind the years U23 academy player that has never been properly tackled in his life.

After what Richie said on Tuesday, I can't see Shad filling in there again.
The most obvious option is to throw him in and see how he does/how long he lasts. Change him out and go back to square pegs in round holes if we have to.
