Re: Labour Watch
Yep.
I also think this whole anti-ULEZ thing could have legs. For us metropolitan elites, anything that promotes fewer cars and more cycling as we collect our vegan, fairtrade, yoghurt-knitted coffee and croissant from the local artisanal bakery, is a sure fire vote winner.
But in outer areas, towns and rural areas it's just a vote loser (even if there's no intention of extending it to those places).

Tory voters stayed at home and Sir Kid Starver still couldn't win. Starver Aht!!Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 12:34 pmOnly a 46% turnout? Jeez.Dunners wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 12:00 pmYep. Tories won by 495 votes.
The Lib Dems, got 526 & Greens got 893. That's 1,419 votes that could have been used tactically. I wonder how happy those Lib Dem and Green voters will be feeling about the result?
However, 54% of voters just didn't bother. Labour should be worried by that level of apathy.

Starmer honing in on it all being Khan's fault now, he's such a piece of work. When a centrist like Khan is in the sights of the Labour right, pretty much no-one other than the biggest bootlickers will be safe.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 11:06 am Labour front bench throwing Khan under the bus over Ulez from what I've seen, yet more rowing back on environmental policy.

Context
Miller did an antisemitism by saying jews are "over represented" in positions of power/influence in USA, Europe & Latin America. Mandelson is challenging him by asking for evidence of this.

I’m starting to believe less that these cliche accounts with hashtags for names and buzzwords for bios that all retweet each other constantly and all post in the same ad hominem, deliberately missing the point whilst virtue signalling style are actually real people

Apparently, in Bristol, in the latest poll of how people would vote in a general election, the Greens had 46% to Labour s 39%.
It's Thangham Debonairs seat. Bet she's worried.
More and more socialists are turning to the Greens, because they can't vote for Starmers Red Tories.

Or, to put it another way...
Great news. At this rate the Greens may increase their MPs to the equivalent number of copies of Panda you would win should you come second in an Orient-themed prize draw.

Actually Thangham has the dodgiest seat in the whole UK. It is a 4 way marginal. I would like to see your data for the so called Green rout. She has defeated the Greens since 2015. You should read about her, she is quite a character.

Re: Labour Watch
Red Tories vs the left would be a better description - Starmer's pursuit on this matter is nothing more than a vendetta. He and his other Tory 2nd XI chums won't rest until the left are obliterated into the ether.spen666 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 4:15 pm https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... ism-report
