Because if you're going to compare countries, looking at deaths per 100k is a better measure. Not that Dis even stated what we were worst at.

Would have thought someone of your high intelligence to have worked this out- its a bit silly to compare countries that have vastly different numbers of people living in each.

20k cases reported yesterday, 19k today.
Think deaths are also down - 529 reported today compared to I think 598 yesterday.
Hopefully the start of a meaningful trend.

Not sure you can read much into one day's figures. The trend is still upwards.
Fortunately, doctors know how to treat it better now, so there's less chance of the NHS being overwhelmed. If we can get through the winter upsurge in hospital admissions, the vaccine should see a slow return to normal. I hope.
Can't see lockdown ending in 2 weeks though.

What , do you mean like Germany ?
Population 83 million:- covid deaths 13, 138
Uk population 66.5 million:- covid deaths 53,274
Einstein was German born you know
Clever bunch those Germans !
They know how to manipulate numbers !

Read this slowly: Germany are doing much better than us, we are one of the worst, but not the worst.

If its a bit silly comparing 1 country to another because of vastly different populations ,
Why.did you compare the U.K & Belgium ? Or were you just being SILLY ?

Is that per 10000 or per 1000000 ?

But I was quoting per 100000 of population stats

Yep, that's why I said hopefully the start of a meaningful trend. At this point, knowing get togethers at Xmas are a likelihood I'd accept another 7-10 days of lockdown.

And Dis was quoting actual Covid death numbers
You know the Worst in Europe ,
You tried to knock him by comparing
Deaths per 100k in Belgium , i then asked you about Germany
Having lower deaths per 100k & lower deaths
Than the uk even though there population is
Larger than here .
Then YOU said its silly to compare countries with
Vastly different populations , then i just asked you
Why you compared 2 countries with vastly different populations .
I dont know why Pope Francis is in it now .
Are you now saying Catholics have less/more deaths
than another religion
Per 100k or possibly per million ?

Given the difference in recording Covid deaths between countries, any meaningful comparison is difficult right now. You're all best waiting until after 12 months of first recorded Covid deaths, and then comparing the above average death rate, as that will smooth out the inconsistencies. But I still expect the UK to be in the upper group.

Especially we should look at the biggest economies in the world down to the smalleset
Economies , or richest & poorest .
Uk 5/6th Belgium 43rd
USA v Yemen for examples.

Belgium isn't Yemen you lunatic.
I don't know how many ways I can explain this
We have the worst total but not the worst per 100k

So why did you slate Dis for pointing out the Uk Has the
highrst number of Deaths in Europe ?
Sounds a bit like something a
"LUNATIC " might do using your words .
Finally where did i say Belgium was Yemen ?
I just said if a proper inquiry his held ,
The poorer countries will undoubtedly perform badly .
However the Richest countries have also performed badly &
therefore must be held to account much more so .

That's not what he said. Try again. I'm sure you will and miss the point yet again.

But we're only the worst by that one metric, which as pointed out several times is not a particularly useful one when comparing countries.
