My guess is that his real reason for abandoning ship is more to do with his failure to beat the EU into submission on the NI border issue.
After all his bluster, there wasn't really an easy way for him to concede defeat.

Think we're all in a state of continual shell-shock about this bloody government. This is just one more incidence of them taking the p*ss. It's not news any more is it. That's not to say I don't think they should be criticised and asked to explain themselves. They've already come out with the BS that it was a work meeting. Funny, but I didn't know Boris's Mrs had a job in number 10? They just don't give a crap about us, the truth, dignity or ethics - scum the lot of them.

In my view Boris is a blatant liar and is not fit to run a raffle never mind our country.
Why are his supporters so scared to talk up against him and make the Tories look worse than the Raving Looney Party ?

The government are trolling the people and yet you still do as they ask you to do. Amazing.

Don't you think that the most powerful person in this country would be protected at all costs? If this virus was as bad as they say it is they would keep him away from people, mask him up etc? Its the same with cabinet members yet they party away, mix with each other in very high numbers. Have a party yet I could not go see my wifes nan in a care home due to the restrictions in place.

I followed the rules and they don't and thats OK is it?

Yet you all still do what they tell you.

Amazing.

Bullshit from the number One conspiracy wing-nut on here. You can despise this government and all they stand for but still be bright enough to understand that Covid is a killer and that we all need to take precautions. I tend to listen to what the scientists say, and not the mealy mouthed words from the government. I think anyone with half a brain does the same.

Bonio I'm not sure that they do actually. I take all the precautions that the science suggests and I've not had it despite working every single day through this.

I know you self identify as half Catalan these days because of the proximity of your French holiday home to the border but let's not introduce petty bourgoise nationalism into the mix.

What is the point of a 'Police watch dog' when it refuses to watch? And then refuses to look at potential evidence of wrongdoing?
