But the test will be how popular and credible Labour policies are and how well Starmer presents them. And how the U.K. economy is doing. Much of the current sleaze stuff will be forgotten, or most likely not important to the majority of voters. Do you really think the majority care about who paid for his flat, Cummings will be history and so on.
Boris will probably piss all over Starmer as he did with Corbyn. He may be an asshole, but he’s good at what he does. The Tories will band together whilst Labour in-fighting will kick off and Momentum rubbish doing more harm.

But when they do something wrong and we vote them back in, you need to think who is to blame, them or us?

Starmer and his 10 pledges was a first stab at getting policies that could be attractive to voters. I guess in time we will find out what those policies are, pretty quiet of that front at the moment, but still some time away from a GE. But they will be borrow and spend, public ownership of utilities but not Nationalisation, what ever that means, taxing more the top 5% and raising company taxation. Some of which may prove attractive.
Trouble is that Labour will continue to fight from within. Starmer and Momentum don’t seem on the same page and that will get worse the close we get to a GE. Tories will close ranks and appear United behind the leader. And win.
