Well done Essex. As so often - snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. Kent's second innings was such a big factor. Concerned about Westley. Under performing with the bat and putting pressure on the lower order.

This essex teams will to win is second to none. There's certainly more talented teams out there, but they can grind out a result like noone else.

Essex lead by 75 on 1st innings against Surrey. Six wickets for Simon Harmer, four for Jamie Porter.
