52% turn out, in a by election where Governing Conservatives have an 80 seat majority. Labour lost deposit. Lib Demβs now have 12 seats. Tuffers, you are furiously having a hand shandy prematurely.
2019 10 million people voted Labour .
There arent 10 million vegan lovers in the country .
Its metaphorical vegan it is the rise of the middle class.
If you focus on one word It's like a finger pointing at the moon. Do not concentrate on the finger, or you will miss all of the heavenly glory.
You talk some utter twaddle
I know that was from Enter the dragon, but you are right. Although labour have historically needed scotland to win in westminster. The rise in strength of the snp and labour are now weaker than the conservatives there.
If you north of England towards minority right wing parties and the conservatives. This highlights the conservative nature of england and shows that labour needs to dominate in scotland to win power. Which they are not.
Furthermore, last time labour were in power they where almost a conservative party in new labour under tony blair and the swing to the left under jeremy corbyn has damaged their popularity forcing them into a more centrally alligned party.
But again I do talk twaddle.

Yes, but whereas having a hand shandy is never a waste of time the same cannot be said for your posts.

IF Scotland voted to become independent, then virtually no opposition to a permanent Conservative government and even more so the case if Wales became independent, so Lefties beware of what you wish for ! Other options available to them would be to "up sticks" and move to the new "Socialist Heavens" of Wales and Scotland, but as proved when Trump gained power, the luvvies who pledged to leave the US if Trump won, soon forget their pledges and stayed where they were, talk is cheap !

I agree if scotland left labour wouldn't win controll of westminster for the forseen future. They would be as relivant as the lib-dems.

Even more so if Wales left !! At present, Tories and Labour have lost Scotland to the SNP and when it comes to votes in the House of Commons, SNP and Welsh non Tories normally back up the Labour Party ! As you correctly say, without the votes from these two countries, Labour would be on much the same level as the Lib -Dems !

And ironically the stronger the SNP get the less the tory's need to listen to them about independence as they weaken labour the tory's strongest opposition.

It was claimed on the radio that it was mostly a protest vote against HS2. Apparently it's going straight through the middle of their area

The Tories got a short sharp reminder that despite no real opposition from Labour, they need to avoid complacency. This result in a way was bad for the Lib Dems and Labour. The Tories will look at this hiding, regroup and be that much more focussed in the future. The loss of one seat makes no real difference, especially after picking one up earlier.
If either party wants to seriously challenge the Tories it will need a sustained programme of policies that interest people and by a party people believe are able to deliver. Forget the Lib Dems, bit part players. So itβs down to Starmer. Coming in behind the Greens didnβt help.

But if was Still Labour .
1997 -2010 3 election wins on the trot over 13 years .
The tories coulndt win outright the 2010 election &
Have had to have 3 elections in 6 years
2015-2019 to try & get some kind of unstable government
By lying & cheating there way through .

Que ?
Its not a risk because the tory's do not have anyone to challenge them. But if labour did get in they would be very similar to the tory's so much it would make little difference. Beacuse that it what happened under Blair.
That is what you are waiting to happen and when it does it wont make any difference.

You are waffling !
Give it up .
As for the 3 elections
Cameron won in 2015 & called a brexit vote he lost .
He then resigned , tressamae rhen won an election but
Couldnt get tory rebels like gove weasel Mogg & Bodge
To tow the line . She held an election & lost .
Bodge won an election on getting #brexitdone ,
Which he claimed he did & now the Story Party are asking
The EU for an extension so they can get chilled meats &
Still trying to come to terms with boarder issues .
Are you sure you have followed whats been going on since 2015 ?

You being deliberately stupid i said that the labour government had to turn tory to win those elections. I don't think the tory's are doing a good job, which makes it more sad that labour keeps losing to them time after time .
Now that you lost you have no chance of a return to power, even more so if they get independance.
Even Boris is beating you, the man clearly has lost control but labour can not capitalise on it.
