Look forward to the Labour and/or FBPE types spending this week telling us how we must believe Dom Cummings is telling the truth about this quote.

I believe him as it suits me to. Surely that's how it works?Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 3:59 pm Look forward to the Labour and/or FBPE types spending this week telling us how we must believe Dom Cummings is telling the truth about this quote.
Dunners probably has it right here - this smacks of Gove making a move. Regardless of whether the claims are / aren't true, there's surely more to follow from Cummings.
DM now reporting that Gove's failed to deny Boris's words so more fuel there - this one looks set to run for sure.
Give them Tories one thing, they're not queasy about a bit of regicide. Then again they're landing more blows on Boris that Starmer / Labour are at the moment.

Re: Tory Watch
It's Cummings trying trying sabotage everything also the DM tacitly turned against Boris a while ago.

Cummings was always Gove's man. And I wouldn't underestimate his ambition or his ruthlessness.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 5:24 pm It's Cummings trying trying sabotage everything also the DM tacitly turned against Boris a while ago.

The parliamentary Tory Party has never liked Johnson - he was always the membership's choice. There's a parallel with Labour and Corbyn here. But, if there's one thing his detractors and opponents seem to keep needing to be reminded of, is that you should never write off Johnson.

Are they still a thing? I tend to blank them out, but am now sort of curious as to how they're mentally navigating the whole EU/AZ thing.

Do we think, finally Johnsons lying and general oafish behaviour will be the end of him.
We have the wallpaper saga, and we have the bodies piled high saga
He's always smelt of roses in the past, will this nail him?

Re: Tory Watch
Tory MP's are rolling out the excuse " Nobody ever emails me about sleaze- it's not what Joe Public care about"- I suggest everyone on here who does care, swamps their MP with emails telling them that they very much care that the Government is turning UK into a tin-pot state.

Re: Tory Watch
One great result of Brexit. As Norway not a member of the EU we are able to negotiate a fishing deal directly with them. But the Norwegians didn't think much of our offer and told us " on yer bike"- Result we are now banned from cod fishing in Norwegian waters. Humber fisherman going potty. So it's gonna have to be more expensive plaice or skate & chips from now on ( or you can always have dogfish ).........Brexiteers where are you?

Johnson and Farage truly stuffed them. Brexit was meant to be all about 'our fish'.
Now Johnson is all about his blustering ego and satisfying the outrageously expensive home décor tastes of his current partner while Farage has cleverly stepped out of the sh**show he created. These days he is soliciting his disciples to invest in his latest money making schemes.
