We've arrived at a point where people will cheer this government on (no matter what misdemeanors they allegedly get up to) so long as it winds up their 'culture war' opponents.

How does the Government get under 30s, to have a vaccine for a virus they are 99.99% going to recover from?
I know says Johnson, we'll blackmail them by bringing in a passport, so they have to have it!

Far be it from me to defend anything he does, but I wonder whether he might be trying to stop them from getting and then passing on the virus to other people, who might not be 99.99% sure to recover from it. Or whether he's just trying to stop the general transmission across the whole population, which includes the under 30s.

Even if the Jab is 90% effective that still leaves a few million people susceptible to catching the virus and risk consequences. It also aids mutations that bypass to a degree the jab. And so this mess just goes on.

As you say, the jab is not just out self protection, but the protection of others.

I've pointed out loads of this sort of stuff to shy Tory voters, their response always is "Yes but the alternative was Corbyn".

This is the most compelling evidence of just how simple minded much of the electorate is and how easily they are manipulated.

The term 'gaslighting' is used to describe this process. The term comes from the 1944 film 'Gaslight', a story where quite extensive and pervasive tricks were used to manipulate the main female role. The Tories don't even need such detailed scheming, just a couple of phrases (I.e." Labour bankrupts the country" or "Corbyn loves the IRA") and those of little knowledge, understanding, interest etc fall for it.

For those who think "Corbyn really was a danger, just as the SUN said" - you'll find that the same media will hang equally derogatory labels round Starmer's neck if he is still the party leader at the time of the next general election. Maybe something about eating a bacon sandwich?

That just sounds like bleating and excuse making.

The Left is weak because it centres it's forces on parliament. Which the Tories suspended and only the Supreme Court was able to restore it. That won't happen next time.

This week a shambles of a report contrived by the far right zealots tells us there is no racism in the UK worth bothering about.

Wake up sheeple and form a working class Militia in your town.

Its been a while but its another U-turn by the tory government .
Stopping AZ being given to younger people after they ignored the evidence
Shown by the EU .
Good for them admitting they were wrong & trying to protect the youngers.

Good spot by the EU too. The EU trying to save people. The Tories have found another way to kill people.

Indeed .
There were those on this board baiting others & slagging the EU
Accusing them of playing politics instead of saving lives .

When you're a Tory MP the basic rules of decency don't apply to you.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... party-whip

Reading the article and just how that man treated a 21 year old employee of the party really made my stomach turn.

See the Tory MPs closed ranks to vote down a cross-party investigation into Greensills, Cameron’s outrageous shilling for the failed firm, and ministers giving him “old boy network” access. What a surprise...

Don’t worry, though. They’ve got one of their mates in to have a look at it...

This chumocracy is vile. Shipping this lot off for re-education to my South Atlantic rock gulag is too good for most of the spivs.

It’s just something that will be forgotten about within a month. In fact, it’s outrageous but something the majority of the population don’t give a f*** about so will keep happening.

The corruption of this government makes my skin crawl.

The Tory sleaze and corruption is more than Ive ever known in the past, and that's saying something, but what's more frightening is that the electorate seem to be treating it as normal.
Tories way ahead in the polls, so why would they need to change their corrupt ways
