Glad for Kim Leadbeater. She had to fight a horrible campaign up there. Also, Labour activists worked bloody hard to help get her over the line. And now Galloway gets to crawl back under his rock while leaving everyone to clear up the mess he helped create.

Keeping Starmer safe in his job will ensure the Conservatives remain in power for a long time. I have to feed my own kids and go to work now, long trip to Nottingham. I do not have the luxury of being to lounge around playing on the internet all day like you Tuffers.

I see Gorgeous George somehow fooled over 20% of the voters to cast for him too :D

Starmer drinking the left's tears this morning 😍

Good for Kim, she's faced a ton of unwarranted abuse from scum and the Tory barely even bothered to campaign

Perhaps Matt Hancock’s stunning CCTV performance went some way to swaying some wavering Labour voters back to the fold?

Regardless of your view of Sir Keef, this result is preferable to seeing some braying Tory tw*t claiming victory. Be grateful for small mercies.

If the labour party is fighting it self how can it be expected to defeat the SNP or Conservatives, plus how can it even win over the public and the press?

Sad isn't it, yet slightly amusing

Even when the left are backing a likely Tory win they lose

The Labour left& right, have always been bitter enemies, this isn't a new thing.
Under Attlee's government, Ernest Bevan, and Nye Bevin hated each other so much, there were many rumours they had fought each other, and at cabinet meetings, they had to be kept as far apart as possible.

This is so true. If only we had been aware of it between 2015 and 2019.

Seem to recall an old TV episode of yes minister. The opposition party were called the opposition in waiting whilst people within you own group were called the opposition from within. Something like that.

The gist being MPs find it easier to have sensible discussions with people from outside their own party sometimes. You only fight them every few years.

Must dig it out, great series about Jim Hacker and the department of administrative affairs.

Search out and watch Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister. Definitely not boring and despite being written years ago, still rings true today in some respects. Great insight in politics. Funny too.
