Does that mean 60% want him in?faldO wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 7:48 pm Last day of campaigning in Batley and Spen where important local issues such as Kashmir, Palestine, and the Muslim/Hindu divide have been to the fore.
If Labour lose tomorrow will it be a new Dawn for them? 40% of Labour members want Sir Kier out if they do.
George Galloway never fails to amuse in his interviews.
You think he shouldn't resign. Wow!Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 10:18 pm So how much are Labour gonna lose Batley and Spen by?
And how many minutes past the count will it take for Owen Jones to call for Starmer to resign?

He retained the support of the party apparatchiks but failed to win over the electorate. Oops! Bit of an oversight in a free and fair election. The question then as now remains: do Labour supporters want a Leader who will reflect their hard left positions (Foot, Corbyn) or a centrist who will get them elected at a GE. Because they can't have both.
I haven't expressed an opinion either way.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 10:31 pmYou think he shouldn't resign. Wow!Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 10:18 pm So how much are Labour gonna lose Batley and Spen by?

When Starmer was campaigning for the position of leader, he stated that his policy manifesto would be like the one so popular under Corbyn's leadership. He abandoned it as soon as he was elected. Call that 'honest'?Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 11:30 pm The left have never accepted Starmer being democratically elected by a huge majority of members
I don't have a dog in this race but we can all agree Starmer lied to win his majority.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 11:30 pmThat started the day after the leadership result was announcedroffeys money wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 11:27 pmNow just over a year later many want to replace him.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 11:14 pm

I have an offspring who voted for him and is totally gutted with his lies. I did tell him not to vote for him for all the reasons that are now obvious.
