Rory Stewart’s time will come, it’s just not now. I think he has the potential to be a good leader, and I believe him when he says he wants to change things for the better. With Hunt, Javid, Boris I’d have to check who else was standing around when they said it as I believe they would only be saying it to the crowd and didn’t really believe what they were saying.

Out of interest what "things" do you think any of them want to change for the better?
After all the Tories have had NINE years to do that and have made a right arse of everything, including of course Brexit.

Not sure Max to be honest. First we were in “austerity mode” now we are in “Brexit mode” I’d love to know what’s going to happen for the benefit of the wider country, and more importantly for me the wider community and not just the haves but the have nots too.

They all want to change things for the better. It’s just who they want to change things for that’s the problem; themselves and their wealthy cronies.

Austerity will be nothing compared to the Brexit meltdown and depression that will follow. This will enable foreign capital to swoop and buy assets on the cheap. Interest rates will be crippling as our credit rating will be shot to pieces and nobody will lend to us except at ridiculous rates.
Riots will be commonplace in most towns and cities. Scotland will be independent but Boris will start a war with them to distract the attention of English nationalists. Scotland will win the war with its French, German and Russian allies and England will be crushed. America won't take part in the war but will supply both sides and their capitalists will make a fortune. I wish I could be more optimistic.

I don't know, taking a wild guess is that maybe people might be interested in who our next Prime Minister will be. Unfortunately the public have to wait until there's a General Election before we can change anything about that.

If Herr Boris and his other right wing pals had a shred of decency, they would call a GE in their coronation speech.
Or is he a lily-livered yellow coward?

Yes, the next election should prove interesting especially if we're still in the EU.

Anyone who becomes prime minister in these circumstances MUST have a mandate from the electorate, via a general election, that includes Gordon Brown.
Johnston wont because he too isnt a real democrat
We are about to get a prime minister voted in by just over 100,000 people who are predominately white, with an average age of 57, and who are wealthier than most citizens of this country

In a General Election you don't vote for a PM, you only vote to chose your local MP
