Multi-buy offers on unhealthy foods will be restricted from April 2022 under new Government plans to tackle obesity.

The popular “buy one get one free” and “three for two” deals will be banned in supermarkets in a drive to help the nation lose weight, although smaller stores will be exempt.

------------

Its all about control Tuffers, this pandemic is giving all governments the opportunity to restrict our rights and freedoms. It’s happening right now, right in front of you, but too many especially on this board can’t see the wood for the trees.

So the tory party now want to control what people want to eat ?

Why dont they just ban alcohol

Whose ever heard of a wotsit belly over a beer belly ?

Typical Johnson

Was a F*t f*cker got covid
Went on a diet & now wants to ban crisps etc.

Nobody. That how they work. You simply post in reaction to the previous post, ensuring that no point is ever properly agreed, conceded or sensibly debated. Thus the same arguments are continously repeated without any conclusion.

Sorry, he was until 2015 when he was elected and then re-elected by the over indulgent and filthy rich and well-to-do of Uxbridge and South Ruislip.

Sometimes it is good to reconsider decisions. In a months time Starmer would be saying ‘we wanted schools to remain closed but you did not listen’

Nothing wrong, especially as the Virus mutates, figures of infection alter region to region on a daily basis.

Yes so if Starmer was correct, lets be happy that Boris doesn’t want to repeat the mistake he previously made.

No, their foreman directs them. Regarding Boris, have faith. He has advisers and Ministers like all past Governments. A ‘ U Turn’ can be positive, shows they take heed or readdress issues. Not always weakness.

Ending up with the right decision is always the best option.
Hurting peoples physical and mental health, money, And faith in decisions literally every time is unacceptable.
Too much to ask for the elected leaders to maybe get one thing right first time? It is sort of their job

Still find it astonishing that the government was threatening to sue councils that tried to close schools early for Christmas whilst knowing full well how quickly the situation was spiralling out of control. All so they could do more petty point scoring.

Mustn't grumble though. They are trying their best.
