Lies come out in politics all the time. We all know that. The last election was no different. Lies on all sides. The country has moved on, the Corbyn effect was out of line with the majority of people. The results show that quite clearly.

Starmer will do better. What needs to be seen is if he can repair the damage by the next election, let’s face it, BoJo is giving him a leg up.

With respect to the BBC, it's main political interviewer & commentator up until recently was / is the chairman of the Spectator magazine and is in the process of launching a right-leaning tv news channel . Could you explain how that fits in with a supposed politically neutral agenda that included giving endless airtime to Nigel Farage.

But on the other hand, Owen Jones was invited to do Dancing on Ice last year and I saw that annoying leftie Asian bird on The One Show, so swings and roundabouts.

Unreal times in politics. Starmer is in a difficult position. Once we get back to routine policy ideas and issues non-Covid related he will have every opportunity to show his worth. I have no doubt he will.

He will never appeal to the leftmost Labour voters, but will do with the more moderate left of centre/Right of centre group, the very people he needs to attract in order to get a Labour Government. Exactly how Blair succeeded. Policies for the silent majority, not the noisy minority.

I think overall he is doing OK to repair the damage of the past few years. Keep it up Starmer.
