The electorate would always vote for real tories as opposed to fake tories.
A move to the left, equality, fairness is what people are crying out for, not a man who doesn't often actually oppose the government.
I'll def not vote Labour again whilst he's leader thats for sure

That is a prime example of how to make a graph look as good as you can. Start off at a zero base and the gaps don’t look so stark. I’d be proud of that!

Nor does it take into consideration the change in technology being invested in.

They should do a graph of how many the army killed in each of those periods to really drive the point home - Labour really do love army and killing.

No need for truncated axis with that one.

Sirkier rolls out Ed Miliband, the one whose late father was subject to a posthumous anti-semitic attack by the Daily Mail, to show they're over the anti-semitism crisis.

I rang up Labour hq, and asked if I could have a copy of Starmer's manifesto.
They said. "we've sold out".
I said "I know that, but can I have a copy of Starmer's manifesto".

Lies come out in politics all the time. We all know that. The last election was no different. Lies on all sides. The country has moved on, the Corbyn effect was out of line with the majority of people. The results show that quite clearly.

Starmer will do better. What needs to be seen is if he can repair the damage by the next election, let’s face it, BoJo is giving him a leg up.

You think the BBC is a Tory propaganda machine! Really.

Morning you old gammon you.

Can you remind me of some of the lies Corbyn made in that election? I seem to have forgotten them.

With respect to the BBC, it's main political interviewer & commentator up until recently was / is the chairman of the Spectator magazine and is in the process of launching a right-leaning tv news channel . Could you explain how that fits in with a supposed politically neutral agenda that included giving endless airtime to Nigel Farage.

But on the other hand, Owen Jones was invited to do Dancing on Ice last year and I saw that annoying leftie Asian bird on The One Show, so swings and roundabouts.

Could you imagine if the BBC had both Owen Jones and Ash Sarkar doing Strictly? That posh bird Camilla (no not Charles's Audrey Roberts Lookalikey wife) who's always on the daily politics would lose her sh*t good and proper.

Any Labour supporters still optimistic about this wet wipe leader? Still, at least the centrist bureaucrats have stamped out any hint of socialism again, so a few Northern small town racists might vote for them again and offset the yoghurt-knitting cosmopolitan elites that are deserting them. Be interesting to see what happens in the upcoming Monkey Hangers by-election...

Made key, hard hitting appointments like Anneliese Dodds and Nick Thomas-Symonds

Unreal times in politics. Starmer is in a difficult position. Once we get back to routine policy ideas and issues non-Covid related he will have every opportunity to show his worth. I have no doubt he will.

He will never appeal to the leftmost Labour voters, but will do with the more moderate left of centre/Right of centre group, the very people he needs to attract in order to get a Labour Government. Exactly how Blair succeeded. Policies for the silent majority, not the noisy minority.

I think overall he is doing OK to repair the damage of the past few years. Keep it up Starmer.
