He did - and he started the season by getting ridiculously few points in Serie A. Almost saved them.

You have to wonder at a club like Salford, where so many footballing opinions exist, if the manager gets to shape his squad in the same way as most others do.

That's a real surprise because I thought he was doing a good job there . I think he's a good manager so I don't expect it'll be long before he gets himself another job.

Heard on the grapevine that the Cowleys had been approached last week on the basis that"if if bacame available". Not sure I could see them working with Gary Neville but who knows if the money was right and they got the backing they would want could be a decent match up.
