As Henry Cooper used to say ‘Yeah, yeah yeah!’

All been said and complete nonsense. So what you are saying is Boris got an 80 seat majority because of the Ruskies now?

Look no further than Blair and his estimate of circa 14k Poles (don’t get me wrong I love Polish people) but not all of them at once. We have not got the infrastructure to handle such an influx of 4 million EU citizens. It is all done now, we have been out for a year, not gone over any cliff. You can still take your dog to France for the day on a booze cruise and we can have proper Duty Free and buy cheaper there than Tesco like the old days. Support your country! Buy British for a start?
Is that why the NHS is crying out for staff again?

Lots of polish who were employed in that fine institution buggered off back home

Cheers Brexit & the Tory party.
Not many Polish in the NHS as nurses pre-Brexit, more from other continents. I employ a few Polish, all of who are settled here, no plans to return at present, most have bought their own flat or house and kids in schools. I use a Polish mechanic , see Polish staff in my local Bakery, cafes, restaurants and butcher. All say they are staying.

You cannot ‘blame’ Brexit on the Tories and Brexit Party. Labour voters in their droves got it over the line which they Starmer knows and has to win back their support.
In 2016 when i spent almost a month at whipps x visiting
I noticed an awful lot of polish Hungarian Bulgarian workers
In the NHS , most indeed were not nurses .
They were the auxillaries in the pink uniforms ,
The bathroom duty gang , the feeders the low skilled jobs.
An awful lot were involved with the physio side & a decent
amount on the maintenance side . A hell of a lot have buggered off home
& it was noticeable how many had gone in 2018 , when i spent a further month
Visiting there .

I know lots of lithuanians who are here & they along with the poles , are thinking about
returning , some are very settled & have mage huge sums of money in the building trade

Quite a few are now preparing to sell up & go home as theyve made enough to go &
Live like Kings where they were born .

True, can see why they would. About 20 years ago I rented a small flat to a young Polish girl off Leyton High Road. She had two jobs , sublet my flat to several others with more than one job. She bought a house in Francis Road Leyton. I saw her a five years back and she had numerous places in Leyton saying she was planning to sell up and go back to Poland. Having been to Poland several times , I can see why. Lovely country indeed, the major cities are spectacular.

Quite a few people on here, mainly lefty types get all bent up over covid, over selfish and irresponsible people and their behaviour.

We've seen corbyn who is the darling of the socialist movement breaks covid rules previously as he seems to think he is above them. Now we see he is breaking them again once more.

So Clive, Coyos, Donut, Tuffers and others let's see what you have to say now?

Sir Keith has been a massive, but predictable, disappointment so far as Labour leader, as he chases the lost lumpen racist vote in Stoke. Forensic, my arse.

The Establishment, and that includes the conservative Party, plus the right of the Labour party will never allow a left winger to be PM...they have too much to lose.
They regarded Corbyn a joke figure when he became Labour leader, but when he won a tad under 40% of the vote in the 2017 GE, they had the fright of their lives, and he was then regarded as a serious threat, to their way of living and their wealth.
Thats when the plotting, smearing and lying started.

Just a 28% swing in 8 months against the Tories, massive disappointment

Suppose it was inevitable that while looking to broaden his appeal he'd annoy the allotment types though

Oh, I can see Starmer’s softly, softly strategy - sideline the socialists and their politics, try not to frighten the Establishment centrists, and throw a bone to the socially conservative racists in the “heartlands” - but I don’t think it’ll work to achieve the goal of getting elected at the next GE as Red Tories.

Scotland is already lost to the Nats, Labour gave up in Nordie land yonks ago, and they’ll lose Welsh seats when the constituencies change too. In England the opposition vote gets chipped away/fragmented with the Libs and Greens in many seats, and he’s now pissing off some metropolitan voters who want progressive policies.

Unless he carves a deal with all the non-Tory parties (DUP apart) to give each other clearer runs in the seats where they have a decentish chance of unseating Tories and commits to binning off FPTP, I don’t see those better polls translating to enough Labour seats to beat the Tories, no matter how useless they remain.

Your first sentence is a compliment.

Your last three are drivel. I honestly thought this would be him having them over for tea (it wouldn't surprise me, Corbyn has clearly been an idiot with the rules), but you can clearly tell when you watch the video its just people, including his brother whom we all know about, rocking up at his door and filming. He looks embarrassed by it all. I'm not sure 'answering your front door' is an offence, but it may well be.

I'm not sure it's possible for those two groups to be reconciled behind one party anymore. Blue Labour/Red Tory appears to be the only winning constituency in England. And I just cannot see Labour shifting in that direction for at least another generation, if at all.

As for binning FPTP, that probably is Starmer's only play for a future GE win. Doubt he'll go for it though.

He was at his doorstep, he didn't invite them in, so no mixing. They moved towards him as he was...in his own home. And as far as I'm aware legally you do not have to wear a mask inside your own home.

There are other things you could really easily get Corbyn on, this one is a big old stretch. Shouldn't have shook hands though.

2 over 70s who probably washed there hands before hand

2 outside & so no real danger as you keep bleating on about &
everyone knows Santa is immune to disease !!
