Blimey, well you seemed to be trying to deflect blame from the right by highlighting a single dumb post. As others have pointed out this is of almost zero consequence compared to the absolute torrent of right wing hate posts.
I'm not trying to deflect blame from anyone. The situation is horrendous.
The "dumb post" would be dumb if it was posted by Joe Bloggs but it was not. It was posted by the leader of Hope Not Hate who had previously said that the far right was posting misinformation, then does the same thing himself. Hope Not Hate are not a bit-part player in this.
It was then retweeted by a Labour MP whose leader had said only the day before that social media was being used to incite and encourage violence, and that people in foreign countries were putting out disinformation.
They should not take the moral high ground and then do exactly what they are accusing others of doing.

What are the sides in this? What are these people protesting? The Southport attacker has been apprehended and he's not an immigrant.
The rioters (or, as should be said, those who are stirring things up online) are not even claiming this has anything to do with Southport anymore.....
Ignore me. This must be a point of which I am still unsure. FFS.

The rioters (or, as should be said, those who are stirring things up online) are not even claiming this has anything to do with Southport anymore. Depending on who you listen to, it's either about resisting Islam or all immigration. Their argument being that they tried the ballot box (I.e. Brexit), but were taken for mugs, so now have to make their feelings known by smashing their town centres to pieces and beating people up.
Although, I doubt 99% of those on the streets have ever thought things through to even that shallow level. They're just there for the sh*ts and giggles of nicking some sausage rolls or setting fire to a hotel with people still inside.
There's now (unverified) videos being circulated of tooled up Muslim gangs attacking white people. This will further fuel the tensions and feed the victim narrative. I'm just amazed there's not been a serious injury or death yet.
I also note that footage of these riots is now being shared by US and European far right social media channels as a call to arms.
They got the brexit they wanted.
Hard Brexit No control from The E.U so if they've been taken for mugs, that's down to them.
After houses & businesses getting smashed up I'm not suprised some of these wanky thugs aren't getting bones broken

I have my eyes on that new-ish film memorabilia shop on Hoe Street near the old cinema. If sh*t goes down, there's a Blade Runner poster in there with my name on it.
Seems an appropriate moment to inform you that I once shared a jacuzzi with Wesley Snipes (whilst not realising who he was having never watched anything with him in).

Oh Pevmin!
You know Bladerunner isn’t a film about Blade going for a run?
The bereaved and traumatised families and communities in Southport must be feeling doubly horrified that their suffering and loss is being used as an excuse for this mindless thuggery across the country.
Said this earlier but I’ll repeat it - this is happening because Labour got in. Lots of people have been brainwashed into believing they are the enemy.
I can’t see Labour being able to do much quickly enough to show they’re not. I don’t think this will run on endlessly but will resurface every time there’s an incident and fannies like furrage and Yaxley-Lenin take to their dog-whistles.
Public naming and shaming of all who get convicted would be a start. What sane person thinks it is good and right to destroy public facilities and attack the police? Maybe some might find that their employers wouldn't want to be associated with them? Maybe some of those convicted could be requested to 'explain' to those bereaved and traumatised families in Southport just how he thought his actions would be helping them?
For all my criticism of Starmer; I think he struck the right tone.

Yes, yes. Panic etc. Why are you not asking the obvious question?

He's probably kicking himself that he didn't get a photo of you and him at the time, knowing that he once shared a jacuzzi with admin from the LOFC forum.

Literally stirring sh*t up in this country on a sun lounger somewhere abroad. Must be laughing at all the plebs following his every word
Time on a sun lounger paid for by the meatheads smashing everything up on his sayso. Gotta say, just being a fash silly sausage and getting loads of poor people (largely, save for a few well connected types with deeper pockets) to pay you for 'journalism' which you then use to fund your self-inflcited legal issues, holidays/going on the run and cocaine habit is a canny trick.

For some, the finding out-stage hangover has already begun.
Apparently already lost his job at Tata Steel (or about to this morning) and been lifted by OB for malicious communications offences and threats to kill/incite violence. Hope it was all worth it.
Get the impression with all the focus social media disinformation is coming in for from Cooper and a lesser extent Starmer they’re laying the ground work for further regulation
