Surely the sentences are raising awareness of climate change?

The pair caused £10,000 worth of damage to the gold-coloured frame of the glass-covered painting in the October 2022 attack.

Jesus Christ - they should have got 30 years! Still, you're technically correct, unlike the last time you BS'ed about pagers.

We only have the BBCs word for it that the damage caused was £10k worth.

The charge they were found guilty of was criminal damage to the value of less than £5000. The prosecutor said the damage was significantly below that threshold.

£10,000 is a plucked out of someone's arse figure.

So BoniO asserts zero criminal damage, & you confirm there was. Good work :D

Just checking:

Being against the political influence behind the severity of the sentences of JSO activists - Are we to apply that principle universally? For example, some of the sentences handed down to people found guilty of incitement through Facebook posts during the riots?

I got an email from them explaining it in a bit of detail. I suspect they will be back with a new name and tactics once the undercover Cops have been flushed out of the network. After all climate collapse isn't going away anytime soon.

I actually know someone currently doing time for their - alleged - part in a JSO protest. Huge amount of respect for them. No idea why they've made this decision now, but perhaps the way the laws and courts are stamping down on people's previously hard won right to protest means there's just too much of a toll.
