The Starmer cheerleaders and fanboys will like this bit most best:

"The document will not include a commitment to remove the government’s two-child benefit cap despite pressure from many in the party, though it is likely to include a promise to do so as a priority as soon as financially possible. It will focus heavily on security, including an image of Starmer in combat uniform."

Removing the CB cap is an easy way to alleviate some degree of poverty for the most needy. Whereas dressing up as a five star general and shagging a flag is probably less effective.

But this will win votes. It's not about the policies, it's about winning and power.

They love Starmer really. Because he's given them what they really want: Opposition and avoidance of any responsibility for actually doing things.

To step away from the politics for a second, this was interesting, eye opening and sad. A Palestinian talking about life in Gaza and how he lost 21 people on his family recently, as well as his mum and brother previously at the hands of Israel.

It is a crass attempt at manipulation as part of his election strategy.
Was it a week ago when he described himself as a socialist, the man who is imitating the Tories each ugly step along the way?
For me Starmer has now attained the status of most dishonest leader of the LP in my many years of voting.

Disgusting. But not surprised given both countries recent history.
Disgusting would be not learning from mistakes &
Backing Genocide as to opposing it.

Great 4 hostages have been rescued.
Awful that 200 were killed in air strikes on the same area

RTE eh?

Very strange that this latest incarnation of an (at least) twice banned boarder is still going.

Why the hostages were being held in an area where there were mainly women and children in the first place?

Surely Hamas must have known that any attempt to rescue the hostages would result in civilian loss of life if the IDF came for them, not to mention the distinct likelihood of friendly fire deaths as Hamas attempted to keep the IDF at bay.

It's a refugee camp. A place of refuge .

Justifying the mass slaughter of refugees. What's your next post going to be about, Hitler: was he all bad?

So why were the hostages in a refugee camp?

If only they'd just released the hostages, the other deaths could have been avoided.

Probably trying to keep them from being killed by the IDF who have killed more hostages than they have freed.

Advocating the use of human shields by expecting Israel to do nothing because hostages are being held in a refugee camp.

I'll leave you to confirm whether the "Hitler" jibe was an antisemitic trope or not. I assume you're trying to equate the behaviour of the IDF withthe Nazis but I'm not sure.
