I think when it was twigged that this fines malarkey was a good revenue earner, all leeway went out the window. Think when they are bored they play a form of snooker, bad news if you own a red car and black cars are much sought after.

Fines go to the government not the police directly therefore I doubt your average Traffic officer is thinking about the Chancellor's deficit figures when deciding whether or not to report Thor's Fiat 500

In a target driven environment during the final days of late capitalism where everything is measured, even traffic cops have performance criteria including meeting targets.

Never, I say never as I was thinking of an RS Focus for a bit of fun as they are supposed to be decent, new version with the 4wd. Alas I came to my senses, it’s still a Ford.

Tuffers that’s a works car which is so far removed from whathey sell to us it’s unreal. That would keep up with road going Porsche’s in all likelihood. Shame they never showed the crash as he lost it coming round that bend.

Keir's 3 Dessert Island Disc choices:

Northern Soul song, Three Lions, Some song featuring Stormzy

I mean it's possible these are his three most favourite songs ever and not just three songs that appeal to the demographics he wants to win?

Now I don't critique Keir Starmer as much as the average lefty does, but the man definitely has a compilation album of lift music.

Why? What on earth is he going to contribute, apart from doing his best to drag Labour down again?

The writing is on the wall for this Marxist dinosaur.

Probably not going to contribute much, but the point is, the right wingers, the labour friends of Israel etc, are fuming mad....THAT is what is making my day.
As an aside, why do you call him a Marxist dinosaur?......there are thousands of young people who follow the politics of Marx , its modern and vibrant. Youre a wishy washy centerist, I dont expect you to get it
Have a nice evening

He said some ‘mumblings’ along the lines of regret I think. Doubt if it will be accepted sufficiently by those who do not like him in the party.

I can’t take your opinions seriously at the best of times, but calling a democratic socialist a Marxist when you clearly don’t even know what the word means just reinforces my point.

Or maybe Starmer read the LP rule book and concluded that Corbyn hadn’t actually contravened any of them? I mean, what with him being a barrister and ex-DPP he’d probably know a thing or two about legal matters, no?

I’m looking forward to hearing Margaret Hodge’s view on this and watching her lose her sh*t completely.
