Yes I heard that too from Christopher of Hornchurch. His voice sounded oddly familiar.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 8:05 pmI was listening to LBC earlier today where someone phoned in and confirmed they have killed 537 people so far with their antics.faldO wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 6:03 pm Other way round for me - I was against the irresponsible crusties in the beginning, but having read how the world is doomed unless the government sticks some glass fibre matting into our lofts for free I'm now 100% behind them, even if they do stop ambulances ferrying the sick to hospital and perhaps cause the occasional death.

It's all the stranded ambulance drivers I feel sorry for. I just hope they're able to get home to their families for Christmas.

How do these people get so much time off of work to conduct these protests? They must be running out of annual leave.

Not funny at all for the drivers on the road who need to get to the destinations they set out for, especially if it is an urgent need where they cannot hang around for hours waiting, just a couple of examples, going to an airport to catch a plane, urgent need to get to a doctors appointment on time.
doctors appointments , dont most people still live within
walking distance of doctors & therefore can avoid heavy traffic on main roads ?
were let through by other road users surely ?
If an Emergency vehicle was at the front of the stopped traffic ,
im sure there moral judgement would allow it through

Really telling about Monbiots character that his reaction to hearing someone suffered a stroke is to doubt that it actually happenedDunners wrote: ↑Wed Oct 06, 2021 7:19 amChris may be Paul, and may be legit. Re: Insulate Britain M25 protest
In October 2021, Hallam caused controversy when questioned about the actions of Insulate Britain protesters who blocked a road and would not move out of the way for an ambulance that had a dying patient in the back of it. When asked what he would have done, Hallam admitted that he would carry on blocking on a road even if there were a dying patient in the back of an ambulance by replying, "I'd have stayed there.

He may be an eco-loony-lefty, but respect to George for being one of the few journalists actually trying to verify this story. What the f*ck has happened to our media?

Stupid way of putting it.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Wed Oct 06, 2021 11:44 amAntisemitism?
Reading what he said in context I believe he was trying to make the point that mankind has committed genocide before and is capable of continuing it.
His cites the genocide by the Belgians in the Congo as an example where millions were slaughtered by the colonial rulers but not much attention is given to it.
So not antisemitism, as he is actually condemning the holocaust.

It’s the thing you were teaching me about what people do when they have lost the debate so change the subject to about something else? It’s got a name.
I’m sure this is one of them.
