Unfair Doh
Ling has been blamed for not blocking crosses all season
Even some that came from the opposite wing.
Let's have some consistency here please !!
My comments regarding Ling and Judd generally revolve around Judd not getting a fair go despite some fairly average performances from Ling. I’ve said before I don’t know how we can judge who is the better when Ling gets game time and Judd gets bit parts.
My main opinions of Ling have been his apparent lack of desire to get really involved, holding back far too much, invisible, not taking responsibility whereas Judd often is the reverse, he tends to jump in, sometimes a bit rash, but gets involved.
Judd without doubt was ring rusty on Saturday and came up against a decent player, yet did OK in the main. Nothing sensational but OK. But as soon as Ling is fit he will be back in the team no doubt.
So are you saying Ling was a loose cannon ?
Picking himself in the team then doing stuff that JE last season didnt want him to do or RE this year ?
Football is not about our opinions its about opinions of those who are in the positions they are in.
The people who see him every week see him as the better player .
When the new man comes in then we will see who gets the nod.
You'd like to think whoever comes in will pick on merit, I agree.
Judd had a good game. Let's hope he gets a run of a few games and is able to push on into the player we all know he's going to be.

Crosses come in. Full backs won’t stop everyone. Same for the England full backs against a dominated Bulgaria, they too managed to get crosses in. I thought the Walsall move leading up to the cross was quite good. Though the defending and goalkeeping once the ball came across was poor.
Considering Judd was ring rusty, and I feel he was protected a great deal, not getting the ball very much at times, he did OK.

Ha ha, you absolute clown.
For the goal, Judd is tight to his man. The 25 plays the ball into space for the left back on the overlap. Wilkinson just lets his man run. Judd does at least try to go with him and apply some pressure. When the cross comes in, Judd does get back in and is covering - unsuccessfully, along with Wright and Coulson - when the shot goes in. I don't know what else you could expect him to do.
Blaming Judd for that shows either your dislike of him as a player (or person), or your love of Sam Ling.
Neither to be frank.
My dislike of those who feel ling is to blame for goals he is not & then defending judd for the things that they are blaming ling for .
Judd is an Orient player
Therefore i like him
Ling is an Orient player therefore i like him
Coulson is an Orient player therefore i like him
Angol is an Orient player therefore i like him
Do you see a pattern developing here Redo ?

The goal obviously wasn't Judd's 'fault', but he did get beaten a few times in the first half and his distribution and crossing was poor all game. He was okay and probably our weakest link in that particular game, but that is not a criticism as such, but to be expected of a young player coming cold into a first team game.
The point stands though that if Ling had put in the same performance there would be plenty losing their minds at him for it.

Were you one of the 40 that applied Doh ?
Ah well neva mind , its always upto others .
Personally id never have sold Laurie Cunningham or John Chiedozie , but i dont know how desperately that money was needed from watching 90 minutes of football every week , just as i cant gauge a player, his intelligence his team ethic by watching 90 minutes of football.
I know i criticised Hendon & my reasoning for that was because he failed in his public statement of intent.
" I AM HERE TO WIN THE LEAGUE "
After an initial great start he slipped to mediocrity, which is what i expected after seeing as his previous roles suggested he would .
Whoever is in charge will get my vote as long as he backs up his words.
Whilst I agree it did slip to mediocrity I have a sneaky suspicion the owner at the time didn't make it easy for him to do his job without interference. Therefore I don't look back and think he was poor, just wasn't given the opportunity to prove himself.

Would you say the same about his time at Barnet Thor ?
Started like a house on fire for the 1st few games , fell away to mediocrity &
then had help bought in to address.the slide.
Why would you then state at another club , im here to win the league this season .
If he had said play-offs minimum then we could say ok more time , but he didnt.

Totally disagree. I thought young Myles done ok against a really good winger. His main problem was being left 2 on 1 - see the goal, and the highlight just before the goal when Brill also spilled the cross - as Wilkinson wasn’t picking up the left back.
Offensively and with the ball, he was spot on.

No idea on Lings injury or recovery time but there’s no way he’ll replace Judd if he keeps playing like that.

Ironically, having seen Ekpiteta playing RB, only 1 game I know, I’d consider him a contender too.
Yes, he did surprisingly well in that position . Wouldn't it be funny if he's actually a better RB than he is a CB.

Yet another ling denier the type to be blaming ling for a goal that Marvin
kicked straight to a striker . The point made was if ling stops the cross Marv doesnt
Make the bad pass .
No excuses allowed about a bad/wrong pass from midfield forward
Or the entire defence playing to deep on there front line .
Still you keep believing Ling is only picked on Martins presence at the club
Dont Forget Our now Dead Vanarama Championship winning Manager was picking Sam Ling with an injury
over a reasonable healthy Judd .

Nothing for or against either of them. I like Judd but I see him for what he is- a young player who has played more games than he naturally would have at this level due to circumstance.
If you honestly believe that Judd did well going forwards then you must be biased. The loopy first time crosses were easily dealt with and the aimless punts forward were starting to get people's backs up in the first half. He improved when their decent winger was hooked. I don't expect Judd to be anything other than okay, he's a 20 year old limited player. Good luck to him, but please lets be objective about it.

I actually thought the Walsall move out wide was quite good and Judd did chase and apply pressure. It would be extremely harsh to blame Judd.
