We have just played 180 minutes against pub sides and not scored one goal, our three main attackers are injured but there’s nothing to worry about

Club being very quiet after the scans and no sign of him in either game suggests all is not welltuffers#1 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 9:42 pmWhere is your Evidence of injuries wheregshaw wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 9:36 pmOn one hand yes I took no notice when we won against no-hopers under Embleton and certain elements of the fanbase were convinced we'd win the league...
...however
- only one new face coming in
- short of at least 3 signings with no signs of any coming in
- injuries racking up including apparently serious ones to our main goal threats
- struggling to score goals even against part-timers
None of which bodes well nor seems to be getting addressed. Even if we smashed these 6-0 the squad is well short of being able to compete for any serious length of time.
they are " Serious ones " ?
I’m not saying we are doomed or in for a relegation battle or any of these statements some of the borders are jumping all over, but we have 1 new player from last season which we finished 13th. Main 3 attackers are injured and we just split two teams up for some reason and didn’t score one goal against two lower league sides.PoundhillO wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 9:48 pmYou couldn’t make it up, so much for ambition and what a kick in the teeth for fans.Orient till I die M wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 9:45 pm We have just played 180 minutes against pub sides and not scored one goal, our three main attackers are injured but there’s nothing to worry about

Why wouldn’t anyone be a little worried odd
I will phone the club in the morning and ask them to update the main website with the results of the second scan for you, since its such a concern.gshaw wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 9:50 pmClub being very quiet after the scans and no sign of him in either game suggests all is not welltuffers#1 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 9:42 pmWhere is your Evidence of injuries wheregshaw wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 9:36 pm

That'd be grand. If you could also get a status update on when the next 3 signings are arriving too you can become "the man"LittleMate wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 10:06 pmI will phone the club in the morning and ask them to update the main website with the results of the second scan for you, since its such a concern.

Is the manager a idiot seeing as he is “worried”LittleMate wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 9:41 pm Woe is me; we will sink without trace. We are crap; the worst team ever. No signings, no imagination, no future.
Oh I just woke up and realised I only sit behind a keyboard and only ever watch the games on an illegal stream. Phew!!
Idiots.
They will look Injured by looks of thingsAdz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 10:49 pm I know we all like to see some wins in the pre season, but with wellens style of play you'd expect the training to be heavily focussed on fitness at this point, so the players are probably starting matches tired. Let's see how they look come the first game of the season

Or you could blame the early start to the season & a shorter R&R period .Adz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 10:58 pmOrient till I die M wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 10:53 pmThey will look Injured by looks of thingsAdz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 10:49 pm I know we all like to see some wins in the pre season, but with wellens style of play you'd expect the training to be heavily focussed on fitness at this point, so the players are probably starting matches tired. I wonder about the levels of professionalism during the close season. I think pre season often shows who's been keeping up their fitness. Of course with the number going down with soft tissue injuries you've got to question the training program, especially recovery.
Its been a hot day & we lost a pre season Friendly , Im glad he's a lil frustrated , can't be resting on our laurels . Still it was only a pre season run out .
I am the man. I phoned the club and they said they will not be updating the website with the scan results but the information may well be forthcoming in a future interview with the manager. As for signings, its their policy to not talk about transfer dealings until such time as they are concluded.gshaw wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 10:13 pmThat'd be grand.
