We need a first choice CDM, definitely.

We have Theo, Ruel and Georgiou to play left wing. We don't need a LW. Could probably do with a RW though, as only have Smyth and Drinnan to play there.

We have Drinnan and Smith to play the 1 ST role. We don't need another (unless they remain injured, obviously!)
...... And you really think Drinan & Smith are good enough to score enough goals to get us promoted?
Yes, yes I do. Especially with Ruel, Theo, Smyth and Moncur all chipping in.
If they can all be fit!

We'll probably sign a prem/championship kid on loan who can cover a number of positions up top, and then never actually play him, as is tradition. Imagine another central midfielder will come in as well given that we've shipped two out. Other than that, I can't see what positions we'll need more signings in?

If not forget about challenging for auto promotion, it will just be another mediocre average mid table season

You are still not understanding/seeing/ what Drinans role is as a forward in this Orient team,or for that matter any other team. Relying on him solely as a 'striker' you are nullifying his effectiveness. He has to play, preferably, in a front three whether it be centre or out wide and more as a contributer of goals. In other words everyone chipping in. We haven't got a Kitchen or a Giffiths, not at this moment anyway.
I know I'm never going to change your mind about Drinan, comeon, but I just couldn't resist responding.

They will be fine , expect them to grow into the season

Exactly as said last summer and guess what the naysayers were right. A thin squad gets you nowhere (aside from another round of sacked manager compo)

Give RW the players he identified right at the beginning of his tenure and I'm very confident he'll take us up. If we fall short through lack of depth again the manager can't be blamed again.
The Naysayers also said KJ was a great choice of manager .
TBF Tufty most of us thought Jackett to be a messiah of a manager a year ago, and believed he would at least get us into the play offs.
And TBF up until 7th December things were going fairly well but for some strange reason we stopped scoring goals, James got injured and the rest is history as they say.
Not sure why KJ didn’t work out, we’ve all probably got our own opinions about this.
RW does seem to have a better relationship with the players if that counts for anything.
Most of us belive we are the "GREATEST TEAM IN THE WORLD" , our trophy cabinet & league position clearly show our brains arent TRUSTWORTHY when it comes to Football .

Do any of the Spurs kids playing today look worth taking on loan?

Not really from the last 20 mins I saw on Utube………especially the penalty taker.
Liked what I saw of Anthony Georgiou though

No. Spurs have an U21 and a U23 squad and I'm not sure of the point of it. Any boy that has "it" (Dane Scarlett for example) never really gets to play for them and these lads never get to experience real football. It was clear they had never seen a long throw in their lives. Absolutely sh*t themselves at that. I feel sorry for these lads because at 16 they were probably good players. They have gone down a path that will come to a dead end at an age when they should be playing competitive football.

Of their team only the No's.9 and 10 were anywhere near good enough for real football.

l was surprised at the apparent lack of energy from the Spurs lads. Perhaps they were trying to outplay a 4th division side with their superior skills? Such skills were not obvious to me.

The penalty taker scored their goal, caused us numerous problems in the first 20mins and will probably be loaned out to the Championship or one of the bigger clubs in League One this season after impressing on loan at Northampton and Cheltenham last season.

But yeah, lets judge players on 20mins of action when they make a mistake :xxx

How badly do our owners want promotion .? I'd rather we went out on a limb now then waste more money in January on another round of donkey's.
