Could see one of Coleman or Brown being an ok squad option. They were brought into a squad in awful form with a manager mentally checked out, a full pre season and better atmosphere might make all the difference. If Moncur is one of the two main central midfielders, it'll be Pratley/Clay as the partner anyway which is fine imo.

At this point more concerned about attacking depth. If one of that starting front 3/4 gets injured, there's not much to come in.

I'd be concerned about relying on Clay. Another year older recovering from a serious injury. We need players pushing each other for a spot in the first XI, not fillers that weaken the side if they have to start.

I know that he had his loyal supporters, but I have never been convinced by Clay. I know he runs around a lot, but he is not consistently formidable.

Not sure I ever saw Maguire-Drew work his bits off, if he did he would be playing higher up the league.

You can just see him playing brilliantly for Grimsby and scoring the winner

Technically proficient and skilful but I never saw him beat a player for pace and he didn’t really take players on. Can see why Richie didn’t play him and moved him on.

I wonder if he isn't the great in the dressing room, maybe but not a bad egg but to go through ten teams already is going some, considering he isn't exactly a bad player either.

IMO , it’s only good business if we can bring in a better replacement.
What position are we replacing? RB, CM, RW, AM or LW?

He does all the sh*t to cover for other players. He’s good positionally and can pass a ball. He isn’t a world beater but he’s an important player to have in the squad at this level.

I'm one of Craig's supporters . He held our midfield together during our promotion winning season and was playing arguably the best football of his career with us until he got his injury . The question is how is he going to recover . For that reason plus losing Khan I would definitely bring in another midfield player . I'd also like to see us bring in another striker .

Point taken , that's a good question . Although Otis Khan is a good player he couldn't seem to nail down any one particular position . Personally though I would bring in another midfielder to replace Khan.

Maybe that was Moncur. Seems like they’re getting stuff done, so we’lo see over the next few weeks

I agree with you gshaw. I've always liked Craig but how well will he recover from his injury . IMO, we definitely need two more central midfielders . Oh and like I said before , another striker .

From the Wellens interview he basically said no one know where he plays or what he position he is

He also said he's not a wing back then played him at wing back

I think Richie had too because of injuries to other players and Moss wasn't good enough for League 2. That's why Moss is now at Woking .

I heard it mentioned in the post-match interview after the Haringey game

Also said Khan wanted to be guaranteed first team football and that wouldn't be the case at Orient. Given Moncur's arrival rightly so.

Wouldn't have minded keeping him as a squad player, but if we got a fee that's good business, and I think he is eminently replaceable.

Makes himself busy, but flatters to deceive...
