If he’s as good as Thornton was for us I hope we manage to get him into the building ASAP. I wonder what the latest situation is with him .

Loved Thornton , important goals against Norwich and Leeds, a real character but probably really lived for the big games type of player.

The Norwich game where Thornton got two was one of the best for atmosphere in recent years

Sean Thornton was Total class!
Sean Thornton has never been replaced, when he was fit and playing he was so good to watch, if George Moncur is half the player Sean Thornton was, get him in the building now!

Can we also try to find:
A Charlie Daniels at LB
A Steve castle to sit and drive the midfield whilst Moncur orchestrates the front players.
2 dribbling goal scoring wingers like Alan Comfort and Ricky Otto to supply crosses and goals.
1 fast strong, young fresh No.9 like Kevin Campbell, on loan from Prem team (Scarlet @ Spurs) to score 25+ goals
Sorry just reminiscing…

FTC Jnr informed me late last night that this is apparently, definitely, happening in the next couple of days.
As I'm nothing more than his ageing retainer these days, I am merely following his instructions to "put it on that message board thing".

He just said on his social media that he has signed for a new club yesterday and that it will be announced today, and Richie said in his video he expects at least 1 in today/this week? Looking very positive quite frankly.

Would have definitely preferred to get him while we had a proper anchor/defensive midfielder in Hector. Now we need to find one of those too!

If he signed yesterday why doesn't he just say who he's signed for

Creative, Deadball specialist and a few goals to boot, what we have not had from midfield for a good few years.

Cue lots of moaning that it's only one signing and not four. I for one am well pleased with this signing, welcome aboard George

Big signing and a significant piece of the jigsaw in place. Now keep the momentum and get the next 2-3 in to complete the squad

3 year deal. Impressive that Martin Ling has discovered he can offer above 2 years. The money we would have got for Bonne, Koroma abd Hector if he realised that before would have been a lot more

I find it impressive that you somehow still found a way to have a moan at this piece of excellent news

Nice one - hope he does not end up in Faces too often. Is it still open?

Excellent signing, just need a minimum of two or more quality, proven players at this level or above to stand a chance of promotion.

And then he will moan about players who don’t live up to expectations getting 3 year deals
