I am off to the Isle of Man in a weeks time. An initial plan is soon to be submitted by a Billionaire Geezer to develop a cannabis farm. Licences for this type of enterprise are available. I remember when Bergerac was on the telly, there were occasional story lines about dodgy geezers with lots of loot on Jersey. It seems like the IOM has similar attitudes. Didn't Jeremy Clarkson once live there?

I personally wouldn't care if they banned Spen666. (For the hard of thinking, I am neither calling for or supporting such a ban - merely pointing out it would have no effect on my life0
Incidentally a new report is calling for the ban on under age Boardin' by each year increasing the age at which you can Board.

Like the US, cannabis will be legalised over here as soon as the monetisation is in place so the Government's mates can maximise their profit potential. Green energy will eventually go that way as well, with the power of the usual media outlets being in play to sell it. Look for when the likes of the Mail & Express start to focus of the positives of cannabis, then you'll know legalisation isn't far away.

They all start on fags and booze first so you'd argue they should be banned too?
I personally wouldn't care if they banned both of these items. (For the hard of thinking, I am neither calling for or supporting such a ban - merely pointing out it would have no effect on my life0
Incidentally a new report is calling for the ban on sales of cigarettes by each year increasing the age at which you can buy them https://tinyurl.com/2bm6gkb8
The problem with banning them though is you just end up with an illegal trade or poor quality stuff that isn't very safe and that's exactly my point with other drugs

to be honest, not many sensible people would try to advance an argument that a cancer causing killer like cigarettes are safe
Re: Now our drugs are being affected by this Brexit madness
Of course some recreational drugs can be modified to be used for medical purposes, that is common knowledge. A lot of difference to getting high on drugs leading to harder drugs, drug addiction and drug overdoses, suicide etc.
B*llshit argument to people getting onto harder & harder drugs . Cocaine & Heroine are different in effect & both are different to weed !
From all research into drug addiction, seems to be that in quite a few cases, many drug addicts started on the road to addiction by taking weed etc then gradually move onto harder drugs.
''Using marijuana causes impaired thinking and interferes with a person’s ability to learn and perform complicated tasks. THC also disrupts functioning of the cerebellum and basal ganglia, brain areas that regulate balance, posture, coordination, and reaction time. This is the reason people who have used marijuana may not be able to drive safely (see "Does marijuana use affect driving?") and may have problems playing sports or engaging in other physical activities. People who have taken large doses of the drug may experience an acute psychosis, which includes hallucinations, delusions, and a loss of the sense of personal identity''
pure garbage . Half of the weed heads are the most successful bands & book & film/tv writers actors ever, the elite are those who use harder . the other half just get wasted to escape the sh#te that is there lives .

The biggest change I've seen in drug use in the last 15 old years, is people using weed, for example habitually like smoking tobacco. When I first became aware of it, people used it to inhance an experience like a music event, or to chill out with friends. It was a shared experience drug, now it seems increasingly taken, as I said earlier, as just something you do.

Literally can’t walk anywhere these days without getting a waft of something dodgy. Yep, it’s everywhere.

Exactly , Cancer is exceptionally rare in the young! we can now say its age & nothing else that causes cancer. Facetious point I know , but maybe not meant to be in these bodies for so long

Sometimes Tuffticles less is more. Now stop clogging up the interspazz with this type of crap. It has literally no educational or entertainment value.

Nonsense, many young people suffer from cancer. Tell your story to this poor young woman.
Hannah Fry, a professor of maths, is used to investigating the world around her through numbers. When she's diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 36, she starts to interrogate the way we diagnose and treat cancer by digging into the statistics to ask whether we are making the right choices in how we treat this disease.

Tuffers why are you such an insensitive tw*t? My first wife died aged 29 with a brain tumour. Are you trying to say she died of old age? It is very common for brain tumours to afflict young people. There are loadsa of different types of cancer and they are all separate diseases. Please take Maxy's advise and limit your boarding. Especially when you don't know what you are talking about and even more so on sensitive issues.

Did she get Cancer from recreational drugs ?

I think I have every right to tell you to shut up when you are spouting upsetting nonsense. Of course a high proportion of tumours are cancerous and I notice that you do not continue to spout your outrageous contention that only old people die of cancer. Your constant outpourings on here are worrying, they seem to be an obsession. I notice you managed to bring sectarianism into a thread about Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
