While it's gratifying for some, I'm sure, to know ones place and to be happy in it, I think you'll find most animal species hierarchies are based on merit rather than simply the accident of birth.
Correct. To name but two!Long slender neck wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 5:56 pmAnts

That’s literally how life works. It’s an accident of birth to be born in Africa or the son or daughter of a billionaire. The way I look at it, I was lucky enough to be born in England to parents that were solvent. I am a glass half full person and thank the lucky stars I was not born in poverty in Eritrea. I try and live life with a smile on my face on that basis. The left (not saying that’s you) do the opposite and tend to look up and then get envious and live life somewhat miserably.StillSpike wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 5:17 pmWhile it's gratifying for some, I'm sure, to know ones place and to be happy in it, I think you'll find most animal species hierarchies are based on merit rather than simply the accident of birth.
I don't think anyone is automatically better than me, or worthy of cash, merely as an accident of birth. That's just bizarre.
The Left tend to look "across or down" financially or how people are treated fairly with regards to their colour or sex etc. The Right look at anyone who is not similar to themselves with distain and don't care about others finances unless it has direct or normally a perceived impact on them.Beradogs wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 6:33 pmThat’s literally how life works.
