I’ve never needed support in 10 years of having an iPhone.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2019 6:22 pmSupport ended for that model two years ago so yes it's obsolete.CreamofSumYungGai wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2019 5:53 pm Currently using an iPhone 5 from circa 2014. When support ends, it means new security releases are not available for that phone. Given the data people now store on smart phones, it's not a good idea to have one out of support.CreamofSumYungGai wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2019 7:21 pmI’ve never needed support in 10 years of having an iPhone.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2019 6:22 pmSupport ended for that model two years ago so yes it's obsolete.CreamofSumYungGai wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2019 5:53 pm Currently using an iPhone 5 from circa 2014. Of course you may not have any personal data on your phone so wouldn't be a potential issue for you.

Re: IPhone or Samsung Galaxy
You might want to have a look at the Samsung galaxy A20.
Only £169, sim free, from Carphone warehouse. It has some good write ups. I’ll be getting one of these when my contract runs out. It seems to do everything that the other more expensive galaxy’s do.

Yep, including those market places you're accessing through your Tor browser.

Those market places are the least of my worries.
Anyone got a 2nd hand supported iPhone for sale, by chance?

If these girls are teens then the spec is probably the last on their list of priorities. Cred .. is what it's all about. iphones have it, Samsung too. If you get the wrong one then they'll likely be disappointed despite your wallet being empty. Ask their peers for advice.
I have a Blackview, almost indestructable and a huge battery. It's a brick but has no street cred at all.
