I do wonder if India would lose this game purposefully to make sure England qualify ahead of Pakistan
Therefore all but knocking them out of fhe tournament
Er no.

The run rate had gone up to 10 an over which is very hard to maintain. England just needed to bowl tightly and field well for the last 15 overs and the run rate kept on increasing. Good game management from Englannd.

You can’t see conspiracies around every corner Tuffers; that is only reality in the cycling world.

Did anyone else have the feeling that the Indians were quite happy with a narrow defeat as it didn't hinder their chances to much and put a massive dent in Pakistans.

I really fancied England to win this one well before the game started for the seasons you have stated. My Pakistani neighbour and me had lots of banter about this game and what might happen. The Afghanistan v Pakistan game was a strange one, Afghanistan looked to be favourites to win with Pakistan needing 48 to win from 36 balls. However, a disastrous 46th over by Afghanistan captain Gulbadin Naib bowling medium pace seam up, went for 18 runs to put Pakistan back in control. Up till then the Afghan spinners had been restricting the Pakistan score. After that Pakistan went on to win.

I went to the Eng Aussie match at Lords where we were very disappointing. Fantastic performance yesterday. Booked a day off work on Wednesday to watch at home. CWC should have been on BBC. ECB made a big mistake going for cash with Sky. Compare viewing figures to Womens World Cup. Bring on NZ
