It wasn't only because he didn't sign for us .As far as I can remember he implied he was signing for a higher league club than signed for Ebbsfleet.

Alas that showed just how deficient our midfield is in comparison, he's also a master of the dark arts getting our players riled up, takes a booking then doesn't put a foot wrong for the rest of the game. Nasty, niggly player but exactly what we need.

Heโs taken the piss out of our midfield pretty much every time weโve faced him.

I wish we still had Adams . We never adequately replaced him when he left
Gorman has found his level playing for YeovilGary the Plumber wrote: โSat May 14, 2022 9:23 pmSid Bishop wrote: โSat May 14, 2022 12:09 pmLing giving him a time ultimatum to sign did not seem to go down at all well, the lesson seemed to be learnt with Ruel who was given far more time than Adams in order to consider his options.
Ling had to give him an ultimatum because he had Dale f*cking Gorman waiting in the wings.
Dale Gorman, yes a very strange signing and even stranger that he was rated to be every bit as good as Adams ?Gary the Plumber wrote: โSat May 14, 2022 9:23 pmSid Bishop wrote: โSat May 14, 2022 12:09 pmLing giving him a time ultimatum to sign did not seem to go down at all well, the lesson seemed to be learnt with Ruel who was given far more time than Adams in order to consider his options.

Yes Sidney that particular piece of business still annoys me too. Also wonder why we bothered to sign such an average sort of midfield player, still in recovery from a broken ankle ?
But the club was somehow still able to go one better and sign Reilly who managed to do the unholy trinity of being injured, unfit and never playedMax B Gold wrote: โSun May 15, 2022 10:47 amYes Sidney that particular piece of business still annoys me too. We never learn. Who the bloody hell is making these ludicrous decisions. Resricted Budgets you see Max . Pandering to fans wishes for ยฃ49 season Tickets & not being able to sell a couple of thousand fans ,leads to small budgets to buy & employ better players ! Not half wit fans this time , more likely Half Wit owners applying buy it cheap pile it high tactics .Max B Gold wrote: โSun May 15, 2022 11:50 amWe never learn. So you are saying our owners and betters have all the business acumen of a Tatatorium proprietor? We've got no chance.tuffers#1 wrote: โSun May 15, 2022 12:10 pmResricted Budgets you see Max . To be fair to Dawson he was pretty good as well .Snowyash wrote: โSun May 15, 2022 12:49 pm Letโs be honest, except from Adams and Vincelot, we just donโt get good Midfielders at Orient. Donโt even think itโs the decision making tbh, more luck.
Evidence:
Drinan scored 10 goals in his whole career pre Oโs, and then gets 13 for us this season.
Some just donโt step up and fall away, others come out of nowhere. Hopefully we can get someone who comes good this season and have a feeling someone like Wellens will.
Shaun Brookes , Steve Parsons Paddy Grealish etc etc etc could name 20 + genuinely decent at relevent level over 50 years of me watching . How many 20 + goalscoring strikers in the same period ? Midfield has never been our biggest shortcomingRedDwarf 1881 wrote: โSun May 15, 2022 12:59 pmTo be fair to Dawson he was pretty good as well .Snowyash wrote: โSun May 15, 2022 12:49 pm Letโs be honest, except from Adams and Vincelot, we just donโt get good Midfielders at Orient. Dean small cock & Kenny Pongo to .A Plethora of talent can be mentioned to disperse a notion we lacked quality midfielders ! Not so with 20 + goal scorers though .Max B Gold wrote: โSun May 15, 2022 1:21 pmYou left out the pizza man, Steve Castle. Quality.
