As long as people still call this evil git Boris he is still looked on as a funny chap. What other politician is called by his first name. The Media have made him a silly old boy who makes mistakes. when in actual fact he is a f*cking danger.
to us all.
Not disagreeing at all, but it's a mystery to me how this funny chap image has persisted despite overwhelming evidence that he's a self seeking dishonest, devious and underhanded charleton who'd do anything to save his own skin, and gives not the tiniest sh*t for the proles who voted for him.
Have we reached the stage in this country where critical thought has so eroded that just being 'a bit of a character' is sufficient?

I'm not eagle to criticise my local council. They're doing OK, and they happen to be Tory.

Genuine question: on what basis are they doing well?

Easy decision for me
As bad as the national government is my local Tory council are doing a fine job.
Got a number of projects up and running and froze tax
Let's not let the Government colour good local work
Everyone should vote on local issues in local elections
Easy? Absolutely essential, more like. God help us if we get even more wokey Labour councils.
Last time that happened we ended up with piles of uncollected rubbish, the dead left unburied, and rats eating babies. Everyone should vote in these local elections to stop the loony left at all costs.
Tories have the right idea. Outsource the immigrants to Rwanda. Over and out.
What a deeply unpleasant comment.

No matter what we think about Boris , the real evil git is in charge of Russia, not the UK

Evidently. Although, in my defence, pammy started it. Go check out his bird-brained post. Like it's possible to ignore those in Government when voting locally. Even if the local councillors are running local projects.

If the Tories do not sustain any losses, well I give up…
Priti's Rwanda thing is going to appeal to those very voters who abandoned labour at the last general election. I know national issues are irrelevant in local elections but that's how it works.

You could be right. I think people find the idea of people mainly young males getting on an inappropriate vessels, daily, to get to these shores unacceptable. The process is tying up the Royal Navy and RNLI, costing fortunes and they are queue jumping. They come from safe havens of Europe not exactly the savage environment of Ukraine.
The smugglers and traffickers need to be put out of business.

As said above, the Tories have provided a home for all the BNP, UKIP, Reform etc types. They have a reason to pop down to the polling booth now.

I think uncontrolled immigration resulted in Brexit even though we had laws in place to control our borders in the first place

This uncontrolled immigration stuff is a myth.
Since the early 1980's there have been strict control in immigration.
The facts are that many Britons are nasty racists.
Brexit was mainly about racism, as all bar the thickest of people knew, Brexit would be harmful economically, and in every other way.
When UKIP started threatening the Tories in 2015, the Tories decided that is they incorporated UKIP policies, they would destroy UKIP, and secure their own future.

Why do people still desperately want to get to a country full of ‘racists’ risking their lives through France?
Many people say people want to get here as France is so ‘Racist’.
